Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The kitchen was absolutely disgusting, so many long term people who had absolutely no respect for the place, check in system is crazy you don’t even meet a human, the beds are so uncomfortable, no chargers near beds, showers are grim.

It is self-contained, so could runout the toilet paper 🧻 at midnight.
I have a shared room this time, Also free to use a welcome BBQ area, kitchen, lounge rooms, Pool Billiards 🎱 , table tennis 🏓…, kindly remember that don’t leave rubbish to next person, otherwise become extra jobs for friendly staff. It’s so impressive that had fun partying at night, it wasn’t messy the next early morning. Make sure to check messages or email, before you come here, because they have really fancy locks and doors, and it’s good that you don’t lose your keys 🔑. Need the time used to the door closed sound like classic o’clock knocking, by the way, I have a pretty great time during my stay.

Nothing. We knew it wasn’t going to be a 5 star hotel. Pleasantly surprised. Great location. Very convenient to supermarket. Would stay again next time we visit our granddaughter who is studying at the James Cook University. Hopefully next year.
Breakfast wasn’t part of the booking.

You can hear people walking up and down the corridor and talking. The building isn't designed to be separated from the communal area and nosie, so would be hard to get any sleep if you didn't want to be apart of it. The kitchen was disgusting so ate out every time. It doesn't help with people living their whilst doing their regional work, so all the fridge space is takern, very noisey and they do not look after the communal areas, outside was pretty grim too. Not enough barthrooms for the amount of people in the hostel.
I had nice roomates, plus a fridge and a microwave which was extremely helpful. Upstairs next to recpetion was a nice seating area as an alternative to your room. You get given a free towel

Staff are very friendly and the bed was clean. It's located at good location; near the beach, near shopping centre, lots of cafes and restaurants.It was really worth to pay.

Bathrooms were often occupied as they combined as toilet and shower. The bathroom floor was really wet cause it didn’t have a shower curtain.
Great room size, nice with a fridge to store drinks. It was nice and clean. Had a few plates and cutlery.

Beds were a little too firm for us. A microwave in the room would be great too.
Perfect location for sporting event at the precinct which is in walking distance. Next door to Coles for buying food throughout our stay and quick walk to The Stand. Would stay again.

Had issues with arrival as there was no staff on the property to help. Wasn’t sent a room number and a wrong code so for a few hours we couldn’t/didn’t know our room. However once sorted the staff was super helpful and the issue was resolved easily. The Bathrooms could have been slightly cleaner and would have appreciated sanitary bins in the toilets.
The property felt super clean and comfortable with nice hang out areas. We loved our spacious room and came with great amenities. Everyone that stayed there seemed super nice.
