Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location was excellent. We loved that the cabins were stand alone and on the beach. The facilities in the cabin, self contained were very good. A coffee machine would have been a bonus.

United KingdomNothing, but would be nice if they have swimming pool or a spa for its guests.
The room is beautiful located and was very comfortable. We could watch the sunrise in bed. The restaurant on site was fantastic, both quality of food and the service.

AustraliaI would consider including breakfast in the tariff, I think that would fully give you the 'edge' Question 4 asks if we visited Richardsons beach - I walked on the beach straight out the front, but no idea if that was Richardson's beach and I found the maps weren't so easy to follow, but that was a feature of the whole of Tasmania rather than just specifically your information.
The view and outlook were brilliant. It was a little tricky getting full blackout from the curtains. Such easy access to an amazing beach. Bed and pillows were comfortable and that's always important when travelling, especially if you have joint issues and arthritis.

Location paradise! The property is situated at the edge of the most stunning view site, with rust tinted rock formations fronting the sea and a backdrop of stunning mountains. We stayed ina "Studio" which is one of a series of adjacent self-contained rooms. The view from the room is breathtaking .The rooms are large and spacious, minimalistic and well equipped. There is a restaurant back of the reception area - excellent but pricey. The local town is 3 kms away with very basic stores. Can recommend the pub for hearty reasonable meals. The Freycinet National Park is a few kms further on. So the location is excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

AustraliaThe guest book stated that the council recommend you boil water for drinking. At the high end price of this accomodation , bottled drinking water should have been provided daily for guests. Also felt underwhelmed by the welcome given on arrival - short, to the point and here is your key.
A memorable place to stay right on the shoreline of Coles Bay with views of the Hazards. Lovely unit with balcony and easy access to front shore for a walk. Very comfortable , clean and impressed by a bathroom with a heated floor. Very private. Service staff unobtrusive.

AustraliaIt appeared that a lot of work is being done to neaten up the gardens and they will benefit from this care.
The view was excellent. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was so nice to sit on the deck or take a short stroll to the beach and enjoy the beauty. We did not eat at the restaurant as the menu did not suit or tastes however we did have a morning coffee there each day.

United KingdomThe bungalow we had is probably in need of modernisation, but was perfectly functional and well-equipped. The mozzie screens need updating.
The view of the Freycinet peninsula and sunset from our balcony was fabulous. Wallabies greeted us each evening and morning. The beach was clean and secluded. The restaurant was fine.

AustraliaStaff did not give us enough information about the restaurant. They said there was a menu in the room and there was not. If you are not going to have facilities for food then the kitchen in the suites should have a microwave

United StatesWiFi did not work well. An inexpensive tavern in town had better WiFi which means it is possible to have good WiFi in the area.
Rooms are exactly as pictured with amazing views. such a beautiful, quiet and peaceful spot. Very close to Freycinet National Park. Dinner in on-site restaurant was delicious. A wallaby visited us on our patio. We did not take advantage of the bikes and kayaks provided but probably would have had we stayed longer.

AustraliaThe water system is being changed at the moment so there was some issues with the water. But the staff were super kind and helpful that the problem was eased after. I believe everything will back to normal when it's done!
The staff is very kind and helpful, super nice. The room is very spacious and very cosy. We also saw some wallabies around our cottage and the milky way at one night.

AustraliaNot much. The water supply is always a bit difficult, but I believe they are now using town water.
The property is the best location to view the Hazards. There are wallabies, kookaburras and lots of great native plants. it is possibly the best location in Freycinet.
