Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There is a leak in the toilet which needs to be fixed urgently.

this is my second time at this address, I was surprised to find the floor upswept, not to mention un-mopped. There were a lot of childs finger prints so surfaces had not been wiped. The globe was blown in the toilet, it was way too high for me to attempt to replace it with the spare bulbs supplied. I used the hydrotherapy pool at the sports grounds, but could find no way of drying my swimming gear at the accommodation, so had to leave it draped over the chairs in the dining area for two days. An inside cloths dryer/line would be appreciated. There is no internet, at all.

Was a little confusing which unit and door to unlock. Took me 5 min to figure it out, but I think a couple of signs would easily solve that for other guests. EG: Unit A (Private) on the front door and Unit B (Guest) on the sliding door and perhaps a sign to say "guests this way"? It really was not obvious.

The mattress was very hard for my old body, so I was in pain most nights. I checked all the beds for firmness before deciding which room to sleep in, but all the mattresses were firm. Hard or very firm mattresses, can cause older bodies to have hip pain, but the firmness of the beds is not something you can check before booking. I realize this is my own issue, but some places have beds that are just perfect.
Location was great, the house was very clean, and had everything I needed, a comfortable cozy place to stay.

It would be helpful to have an airdrier to assist with drying beach towels as there was no where to hang them.
The unit was very clean and comfortable.

Wardrobes and drawers need a bit of cleaning, it was dusty but otherwise all good.
Good location, spacious. Well equipped kitchen to cook if you want to!

Couches being fabric had stains and a little dusty. Think about getting leather look alike (vinyl) covers as they are easy to clean. Shower curtain not attached to tiled recess wall properly. Bit of a safety issue guys! When walked into unit had a bit of an odour. May have been last occupants cooking. Hard pillows guys. Should change over regularly.
Location. Clean well renovated unit especially kitchen and bathroom. Bedrooms spacious and clean.

Slight sound issues as a duplex I felt like we were a bit loud with our young children and felt like I couldn’t 100% relax.

This is a good sized place for a family and is reasonably well equipped. However our stay was impacted by not having hot water for 24 hours, which was as a result of the boiler being switched to the wrong setting. Had we known, we could have fixed it quickly but there was nothing to detail this & the hosts couldn’t help on the phone. We then had to wait in one morning for the plumber!!! The gardener was also booked for during our stay, and due to the nature of the property entry being in the garden, that meant we ended up being surprised by him just appearing at our window - which as 2 girls alone was a little disturbing. We sent all this detail to the hosts but no attempt to compensate us for the lack of hot water was made. We really felt in the end that this wasn’t worth the money we paid for it.

There were two number 16’s which was confusing on arrival. The TV remote was broken.
It was clean and spacious. Not too far from the water. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.

wifi could have been provided, but we booked knowing it wasn’t there, so was ok.aircon was only in the kitchen/living area. we had mixed days during the stay, so the nights were either too hot or cold. bathroom and toilet doors did not have locks which is just inconvenient. there were blanket worms in the backyard especially on and near outdoor seating.
good location and decent size.
