Our stay at the fernglen forest retreat was amazing. The host was very quick to reply with any questions and very accommodating. We loved the location and relaxing at the end of the day in the family sized jacuzzi.

Bunk bed wasn't the most comfiest bed Shower door could be replaced dishes, cups and cutlery left in the dishwasher

The location is fantastic, the facilities are great, the bird seed left under the sink, the jacuzzi was at a good temperature and clean. Great selections of games. Loved the lamp.

Only if I had to nitpick, rear cottage area with BBQ are a bit dusty could use some cleaning up.

Location, everything in the cottage is well equipped. Bed is comfortable. Hot showers and gas heating makes a comfortable stay. Nice secluded spot in the middle of a forest. Saw the macaws in the morning

The whole place smelled like smoke from the fireplace. Probably would be fine with some ferbreze but at the time noticeable.

An unbelievable accommodation, where you and the nature are one. Great facilities (for family with kids and babies as well) , and very clean.

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely magical! The first thing that struck us was how beautifully presented the cabin is—spotless and truly deserving of its five-star cleanliness rating. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the cozy decor to the little extras like board games, which kept us entertained during quiet evenings. The views were breathtaking, and to our delight, we had daily visits from colorful parrots, adding a touch of nature’s charm to our mornings. The cabin is also incredibly dog-friendly, with outstanding features for pet owners. The fenced area on the side of the cabin, complete with a pet door, gave our dog plenty of freedom to explore safely. The hosts were fantastic—super easy to communicate with and incredibly accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. This was more than just a stay—it was an experience. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore, this cabin offers it all. We can’t wait to return! Stayed in the Brook cottage.

The backside and bbq area was very dusty, unkept and dirty so we couldnt enjoy a relaxing evening to enjoy the views. Also the host didn't include backup toothpaste and toothbrush or a dishwashing sponge.

Road into the property was a challenge for an 83yo. Power point in the kitchen seriously needs replacing.

Full kitchen. Large lounge. Two bedrooms. Well heated. And all surrounded by nature.

Lovely cottage in a great, quiet location

The site stated all day check in, which was important for us. However, a week prior to check in we found out that it was not the case. The wood logs for the fireplace were not dry and it took very long to start the fire. It was raining heavily and the rain leaked through the windows and doors.

Beautiful location and cabin. Isolated in the woods for privacy. Very tastefully styled. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped. Different teas available as well as coffee machine with coffee pods. Easy check in and out.

The driveway was quite steep and twisty, it was a little scary to suburban folks, but the sense of being right in the forest made it so worth it.

The sense of being right in the forest was so wonderful. The bird life and the wind through the trees was revigatrating. But the township was still so near for cafes and resturants, and to get those little things we inevitably forget.
