We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

There is not really a parking. We can only park on the grass area on the road. Our room was upstairs. If my partner is not with me, I won't be able to carry it upstairs myself.
We loved the cooked breakfast – it was fresh and delicious. We paid a little extra, but it was well worth it. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The little garden is very interesting and lovely.

The hairdryer didn't work...but forgot to say
The hotel is steeped with history and contains many antiquities and other beautiful items including artwork and sculptures.. breakfast was a great choice of fruit yoghurts nuts etc and help yourself to as much toast, or a cooked breakfast

The breakfast was continental, cereal and fruit with toast and ham and cheese. Was lovely and thoroughly enjoyed. Was expecting croissants, with little pastries but other than that the breakfast was very enjoyable. Beautiful sculptures around the building and artwork.

Oversize furniture made it difficult to access the wardrobe.
Very quirky hotel. Lovely touches of plenty of snacks, tea & coffee in the room. Fresh milk & water every day and also cake and biscuits in the kitchen area.

Don’t bother booking the room with the Ocean view - it’s very much in the distance and it means you are close to the main road which is very busy quite early in the morning.
Location was good. Lots of interesting /quirky art works and the buildings have been restored very well

Limited parking
Up on the hill from main area of Fremantle. Lovely old historical house with lots of quirky artwork through whole house. Room was great and breakfast left you struggling for choice as so much offered. Host very friendly and full of knowledge of area. A rare little gem

The bathroom was not connected to our room. This could have been a drawback if other guests were on the second floor with us, but we were the only ones. IDK if that was intentional but we were glad Susie told me no other guests would be upstairs. The bathroom was quite large and was wonderfully clean and other than having to walk down the hall to it to use it in the middle of the night, it wasn't a problem.
The hotel itself is pure historic charm. We loved our large room and the unique decorating. You truly had the sense of going back in time to an old inn. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, although we missed the option for eggs and sausage, the basic breakfast was delicious, along with French press coffee. The location was nice because it was a bit away from town, but we walked to the Freo market, which took about 2 minutes. That night we took an Uber to a restaurant on the beach.

My towel was a little worn. Didn't bother me but that might be an issue for others who are looking for accom.
Excellent location. Very short walk to Freo restaurants, markets and train station. We didn't need out car at all. Delightful host who is knowledgeable about Fremantle history and arts scene.

The late check-in was a little confusing to our tired brains after a long Trip but we got through it.
Everything was as the Brochure stated. A touch of life in the past with a Splendid atmosphere. The location was perfect, with only short walks to Restaurants & shops. Jasmine & Lyla were perfect Breakfast girls & nothing was too much bother. Perfect in every way

Room was amazing beautiful bed and art work. Breakfast was extremely good with a huge choice for the continental breakfast. The owner was so interesting to talk to about the sculpture, art and other pieces, I could have listened for much longer if we didn’t have to get back.

Loads of old world character, friendly staff, room was comfortable. Only issue was the stairs not the hosts fault I should of done due diligence prior.As husband has disability which made stairs a challenge but he did get to top. Close proximilty to everything you need, value for money.

Unfortunately, the room had a very musty ,mouldy smell about it.We found it quite overwhelming. There was a lot of black mould in the bathroom, but I feel like the whole room was an issue. The style of the outside was quite abstract but probably could have done with a bit of a tidy to really show it off properly.
The staff were fabulous, our room was comfortable.The building itself was very interesting and quirky. We enjoyed the breakfast, very well presented and the coffee was amazing.
