Enjoyed the fire place in the restaurant. Meals were huge. No breakfast as chef up and left. Small collection of wines that were not local. Rooms was basic but clean and comfortable.

Proprietor doesn't monitor booking.com messages, so would have been charged unnecessarily by the time they checked messages for a change to booking. Shower pressure very poor and bathroom too small. Loved the view from the room. Meal at restaurant enjoyable.

Quaint historical building and set among trees. Basic unit but was little tired. Meals a bit disappointing as by 6.15pm our choice of meal was no longer available.

    Slight musty smell in room.

Room 15. We unfortunately didn’t stay due to an issue totally unrelated to the hotel but checked in. The owner checked us in and advised us about the water, told us there was bottled water in the room and we were welcome to refill inside the bar area for free or purchase more for $1 from reception. Advised it was best to use air con due to midges. The room was clean and had a water view. The bed appeared comfortable with clean bedding. Bathroom was clean and well stocked.

Like - The accommodation location was good in a quiet area. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant dinner meals we bought were ok. Plenty of bottled water provided. Dislike - The room needed a good clean and bathroom needed updating (cracked washbasin). Room was booked with water view, spoilt by large plant in the middle of the window. Breakfast was overpriced for bacon and eggs for what you received - quality and presentation.

The oddity as described above. An usual set up but I guess it was fine.

The food and drink were good. Very basic set up. No sink in the bathroom. The kitchen sink in the kitchen doubled as the bathroom sink.

Bathroom wasn’t so good. The manager/owner wasn’t the most personable but restaurant/bar staff were lovely.

The room was simple but large. Dinner at the restaurant was great. The view from the large window was lovely-but were advised against opening windows due to mosquitos.

Limited seating options if self catering. No table or dresser just two armchairs and coffee table and large empty space in room as if missing furniture. Clean enough but thick dust layer on higher surfaces such as tv.

Proximity to Port Arthur and to Fortescue Bay/Cape Huay. Lovely view across lawns to the water. We liked fact they provided unlimited bottled fresh water as local water supply not pleasant to drink ( allegedly potable water but coloured and unusual smell)
