The bathroom and hand basin set up was clean but quite outdated. The morning of our departure there was also no hot water to have a shower. Reception staff were also abrupt and difficult to speak with. It was difficult to arrange a booking for dinner (staff were fussy about the times) and then when we arrived, there was barely anyone in there. We then waited over an hour for our dinner.

The location was good with an amazing view out to the water from our room, the hotel itself was a great setting for a pub dinner

Value for money is not good here. This is a motel/motor inn not a hotel. The restaurant prices were absurd for the quality of the meals. It said it was recently renovated but appears to be the same building from the 70s/80s at least in our room. Would give a better writing if the price was more reflective of the calibre of accommodation.

    Clean and tidy.

Amazing Food, but Not Worth the Price for a 4-Star

The room wasn’t properly cleaned (crumbs on the counter), the bathroom was dated with poor ventilation, and we were really uncomfortable with the adjoining room — we could clearly hear the guests next door through the gap under the door. For a 4-star hotel at $235 a night, it didn’t meet expectations.

The food was absolutely delicious - dinner in particular was a highlight, with great flavours and quality. Service staff were friendly and helpful.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the water was not drinkable and smelled weird. It was explained that was because of the river and the tannin from the trees. Couldn’t be helped but would have been nice to have known that before we booked.

Lovely place. We had a view of the river from our room. A lovely traditional feed at the restaurant. Very friendly staff

Proprietor doesn't monitor booking.com messages, so would have been charged unnecessarily by the time they checked messages for a change to booking. Shower pressure very poor and bathroom too small. Loved the view from the room. Meal at restaurant enjoyable.
