The supplied breakfasts were appreciated but would have liked some fresh bread rather than the breakfast biscuits. There was quite a lot of plastic packaging involved in the breakfast. The coffee machine was great but I had to find a short youtube to explain how to use it.

We stayed in an upstairs spa suite with great views of the township. The room was large and comfortable with two balconies and a private BBQ which we used. A free laundry was a bonus and appreciated. The grounds were spacious and attractive. It had a great coffee (pod) machine, so morning coffees were made by us. It was located on the edge of town but only a couple of minutes' drive to get in so not a problem.

Reception area was very messy. A little bit off putting. If anyone arrives and goes straight to reception. We were given our room number from a text message. So all good!! We now know why. We had to ask for more toilet paper as we were nearly out, we stayed 3 nights. That why we noticed the reception area. The room was clean other than webs around the kitchen light fittings.

We were in the John Franklin Suite, and that building needs some basic maintenance and thorough cleaning. Our spa did not work properly. The sink did not drain easily, and dusting in the hallway and window cleaning had not been done in a long time. Crockery, glasses, and cutlery did not match and were not clean. Although the room was large, there was nowhere to place a suitcase except for 2 lounge chairs or the floor. A breakfast basket was provided, and we were hoping for a few slices of bread as well as cereal, but instead there were muesli bars (with chocolate) and breakfast biscuits, although there was a toaster. This is not a negative, simply not to our taste. The property is very nice with lots of nice features like water fountains and outdoor lighting, but none of those were turned on.

The location was excellent and quiet with lovely views of Strahan from our balcony. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. There was ample parking and rooms without a balcony had access to a grassy area with picnic tables facing the view. We could reach the train station and Strahan on foot, but I would like to add that the walk to Strahan is about 1km, and there is a hill on the way back.

Hard to get up onto the to bunk as edge of cupboard blocks the end of the bed so restricts room to climb up the ladder

This was an ideal stay for our family. The view from the property was spectacular, the laundry facilities were exceptional. It was a relaxed property (with a playground my daughter loved) that catered to what we needed.

It wasn’t particularly clean - some of the pots and pans in the kitchen weren’t properly cleaned. We didn’t get breakfast on our second day.

When I checked in the receptionist at the desk could've been friendlier. He didn't ask how our journey had been or where we'd just driven from. Just pointed to where the room was and expected me to know where to find it. A very poor welcome to the property.
