Both the rooms and the shared spaces are lovely - spacious, comfortable and clean. The decor is so tasteful and carefully thought out, plus the breakfast pantry and homemade baked goods in the afternoon are such a nice extra touch. Amazing views of the waterfront and outdoor area. Great location within walking distance to CBD. Beautiful place to stay!

This is a beautiful elegant grand house. The attention to detail is outstanding. Staying at Grand Vue was an unexpected pleasure. Details like a freshly baked cake on the kitchen counter each day with an invitation to help yourself. Sweeping views that capture that magical light that Hobart turns on.

The fact that we didn't stay longer!

The friendliness of the owners and the guests. It was not a hotel but a welcoming home. The views were wonderful. The room was on the ground floor but because of the position of the house, we still had fabulous views of the harbour.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about and I would stay there again anytime. It was even the best accommodation we had during our 4-week-vacation in Australia.

We particularly loved the spectacular view from our room and that Grande Vue was so close to the city. Battery Point itself, the part of Hobart where Grand Vue is located, is a beautiful area with historic houses, so definitely worth seeing. There was home made cake you could help yourself to in the afternoon and the owner Ash was a lovely and caring person. Parking wasn’t an issue either as it’s possible to get a resident parking permit.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

This 1906 beautiful building had so much charm and elegance to it. We felt like royalty in our room. The views from just about every window is breathtaking. The kitchen is generously supplied. Was really nice to sit on the lush lawn with a glass of wine enjoying the sunshine and view.

We didn't use the spa bath, not our thing.

A superb location in quiet residential neighbourhood with many old houses, but 5 minutes walk to the Salamanca dock area with it's bars restaurants and galleries. The hotel was beautifully decorated, comfortable but most notable was the super attentive considerate host. Ash made sure we had everything we needed in the well appointed kitchen, loaned us a BBQ for Christmas Day and have us touring suggestions. An amazing hotel which makes normal hotels boring and disappointing.

Bathroom lightning could be a bit more well lit but it was still ok.

Loved the ambience. The whole stay was an experience on its own. It felt like a scene out of beauty and the beast. Breathtaking sunrise view. The staff was very approachable and friendly. Our rooms were tidied very quickly yet thoroughly every day. The pantry was great as well. The whole stay was really pretty.

Amazing location with spectacular views. It was a short walk into the harbour precinct through a very pretty suburb. The hotel is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. I liked that guests have the use of the kitchen whenever suits them.
