Everything was superb. The attention to detail and special touches made it even more so. We loved the beautiful fresh food we could help ourselves to in the kitchen, the welcoming lounge and dining room, the views from our room, and the easy access to Hobart’s cafes and restaurants. We loved the suggested day trips, including recommendations for attractions, cafes, and scenic drives. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

the light switch in the toilet is linked with the noisy exhaust fan - would have loved it if they can be switched on/off separately!

Stunning view, the location (walking distance to Salamanca place and even Brooke Street pier), the staff are really friendly and helpful, helped me book a cab to the airport. Good air conditioning/ adequate heating.

The hotel was superb, a fabulous location close to wonderful local restaurants and bars . The facilities were top quality. The continental breakfast was delicious- gorgeous home made cakes, yoghurts, fresh orange juice and coffee and tea. Probably one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in . Fantastic value .

The way I was made to feel - the friendly atmosphere and the elegance of this place. The boys obviously put their heart and soul into setting it up. I met them both, and enjoyed their company. The homemade goodies in the kitchen were a lovely touch.

Brilliant. I've stayed at a few places in Hobart and this was by far my favourite. The hotel is stunning, the owners are really friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect, close to great restaurants and easy access to Hobart attractions. The rooms are spacious and there is a lovely view of river.

Accomodation was really beautiful the property has been beautifully renovated, our room & our view was sensantional. We found the bed a little soft.

The Grand Vue Hotel was all that could be hoped for. My wife and I loved the prospect of what the website suggested and in reality the hotel deilvered so much more. Ashley, Brock and the team have delivered a beautiful private hotel experience in equally beautiful Battery Point. The classic home has been transformed into a wonderful hotel that is immaculately presented and a delight to experience. Our suite boasted wonderful views across the Derwent to Sandy Bay Yacht Club and Wrest Point Casino, spotlessly clean ensuite, kitchenette and period furniture. Blissfully quiet, the in house guests were only apparent when crossing paths at breakfast, for which cereals, toast, an array of condiments and tea and coffee (espresso machine) are provided. A nice homely touch provided by Brock's mother's home baking. If you like a little luxury, enjoy walking around looking at period homes and beautiful gardens, short walk to Salamanca and with a local pub just around the corner this is for you.

Absolutely stunning boutique! I look forward to our next stay. The house is large with beautiful interior. We felt like we stepped back in time. The breakfast was delicious and the view was amazing! It’s a close walk to the wharf and lovely restaurants and bars. The owner was very lovely and helpful.
