Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe were not expecting 5 star...but... The pillows and twin bed (joined to make a large double bed) all definitely need replacing. We had booked 8 nights and dreaded going to bed at night. I had severe head aches and my neck and back were out. My husband tossed and turned also, trying to get comfortable because the very flat pillows gave no support at all. As humans, we need to sleep to function through the days! The first night, we were abruptly woken at 1.30 am, with an emergency siren and evacuation order, from the internal microphone; which went on for at least 20 minutes. All guests in the building stood outside, and two large firetrucks (one inc a crane) turned up and, after 10 minutes, gave the all clear to return to our accommodation at 2.00 am. It had been a false alarm. There was no throw rug in the bedroom/lounge, so I used a pool towel each night. I received a text from the property contact requesting access to the apartment, mid morning on one of the days for the body corporate to inspect the balcony using a master key. I didn't know if it was legit and replied no, access was denied. We didn't want unknown people in the apartment with our personal belongings when we wouldn'tbe there. I received a reply text, stating they would let body corporate know. On the day, we were running late leaving the apartment. A knock on the door and three men and a woman were expecting to enter and said they hadn't received our message that access was denied. So, if we hadn't been there, they would have accessed the apartment without our permission anyway using a master key. I was not happy that we'd been disrespected. As we were there, we were courteous and let the four in. Regarding the balcony, it's huge! Other than two very small chairs and a little round table (could not fit two dinner plates or takeway on it)... there was nothing - no sun lounges, literally nothing.
Harbour Highlight is a unit on level 1 within the Mantra complex. It is not associated with Mantra. Mantra does not have a cafe/restaurant within the building. The location is great, and we the Mantra pool is available for a swim to cool off. Short walk to Coles supermarket, liquorland, chemist and city restaurants and cafes was handy. Undercover parking at $22.00 per day is paid at Mantra reception for a different security swipe. Full-size fridge/freezer for drinks, food, and ice. Washing machine and small clothes hanger. Quiet at night. Opposite the gardens with views of the sea through trees (level 1). Large undercover balcony.

AustraliaThe plumbing from the next unit was loud. The unit was cold, I think because the building was cold.
Fantastic location. Great size unit with everything we needed and a big balcony

AustraliaBathroom..felt it was rather unsafe climbing in and out of bath to have a shower. To be honest, we were sent so many notifications constantly. It was overkill and unnecessary.. When I did want to make contact in office hrs no one replied.

AustraliaWe were there on the weekend and noisy neighbours were very loud until early hours of the morning. Pool was a good temperature but lacking in chairs and lounges and not easily accessible for older people.Floor of apartment and deck was dirty and inside didn’t feel like the floor had been washed for a long time.
The location is great, overlooking the Esplanade although we were only on the 1st floor so limited views. Close to shops and restaurants. Room was good size and the bed and pillows were really comfortable . Easy check in with easy instructions and reverse to check out. We were lucky enough to get an early check in but unlucky not to get a late check out, but you can’t have everything.

AustraliaHometime, company who handle the unit changed the written contract part way through the booking. Pretty sure that's illegal?? Our stay was 10 days and we asked for a linen change and light clean mid stay which was in keeping with the contract. Only to be told that would cost an extra $90. A plumber turned up unannounced one morning to change some pipes. Carpet and underlay in the bedroom is mouldy and pulled back from the wall. Parking is mentioned as available in the advertising for the unit, no mention of a cost. Once you book then you are informed it's $2-$3 per hour. Very unprofessional management.
Location is good. Close to all services.
