Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBooked this hotel for a 2nd time as it is in a great location and very comfortable. The tram is on the street next to the hotel. Queen Victoria markets and city centre within walking distance. Great value for money. Beds are really comfortable, which is a big plus.

AustraliaThe Melbourne weather.
Was upgraded. Thank you very much. The room was spacious, and everything was present in the apartment, including good cooking utensils and so clean. The view from my balcony was impressive. Shower was great. Location wise for my work it was on the next block, and there was no problem finding somewhere to get food - either in the hotel for breaksfast, or close by if I wanted to cook or eat out.

AustraliaThe staff had been exceptional! Especially a gentleman called Lakshman Sri Lankan ! An absolutely brilliant person to be handling your stay. The hotel it’s self is in an incredible area , very safe and a beautiful park perfect for stays with kids needing to get out of the hotel for a play just across the street. Did I mention it had a saxophone in the room and blue heavy velvet curtains - very regal

United KingdomAbout 20 mins walk to the centre if not using the trams (although they are free). The balcony looks directly onto another apartment building so no privacy.
Large apartment, good location with easy access to trams. Full kitchen facilities.Helpful, cheerful staff on reception (24hrs).

AustraliaIt was very expensive being F1 weekend. This applies to all Melbourne accommodation but disappointing that they price gauge so much for events. Couldn’t get the tv to work so missed some of the F1 coverage.
Good sized apartment and beds were comfortable. Actually said one bathroom on listing but ended up with two. Views were awesome from 28th floor.

AustraliaThe only thing I should warn about is water pressure. Don't turn on the shower full strength as it is way too strong.
Facilities were nice, the rooms were good too! Beds were firm, but still comfy. The amenities in the room (mini fridge and stove) came in handy for a long week. Breakfast was good, but it was the same everyday. Perfect location, right across from metro station and trams so easy to travel in the city.

AustraliaWe asked for a port-a-cot which means that there will be a child in the room with the adults who'd require towels like the adults but these were not provided with the cot although we paid extra. When I asked the staff at reception they gave them to me on the spot but I didn't appreciate the fact that I needed to go down and pick them up after a long day of travel. I wish they were a little more thoughtful. We hated the lifts! There are so many card readers and it gets real confusing. I saw a young woman quite distressed that she wasn't able to work it out and felt stupid - I understood completely. That could definitely be improved. Also, I think the parking fees were a bit too steep and could have been more reasonable.
Very nice room with full kitchenette. Although we didn't get to experience it it was lovely that there were live jazz sessions on the weekends, we did watch the recorded sessions on the dedicated TV channel and want to go back on a weekend getaway so we can experience it. Also, loved the Jazz decor in the room. The bonus was the double AC in both the living area as well as the bedroom area. It was very helpful that you could close the doors to the bedroom, the set up of the room was excellent! It was convenient that they provided a parking spot (for a fee).
