Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe fridge was a little bit too small.
Close to shopping and Marvel stadium for concerts. Walking distance from southern cross station for the SkyBus. Park across the road perfect for picnics in nice weather.

I didn’t have the breakfast as I couldn’t figure out where to go but I room was nice and cool, staff were very nice and a free upgrade was lovely. Loved the jazz club too though it was crammed. Cool room and sax on wall.

AustraliaNil comments.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks to Sahan for arranging an early check-in and giving us a room with stunning views of Flagstaff Gardens and the city—truly picturesque! Angeli was also amazing, allowing us a late check-out to accommodate our baby’s needs. The customer service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to consider our requests. The hotel's location is another highlight. Being close to Melbourne's free tram zone made it super convenient to explore the CBD without any hassle. This feature added great value to our stay! Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommended for its excellent service, beautiful location, and family-friendly approach!

Australiawanted to get a 2 hour extended checkout till 12 noon on a Sunday. Front desk staff demanded extra half days fees and were most dismissive and quite rude that I had even asked. Next day I had a different staff member who allowed an hours grace and an hours late checkout from the carpark.
view from room was pleasant. lounge area was very comfortable

AustraliaThe breakfast staff - weird that there's nobody to actually order your hot food from, then when you do ask for hot food, the staff tells you that it's cooked in the kitchen (really?) but then have no interest in taking your order, and you have to spell it out to them and ask literally how the staff in the kitchen know what I want, when there's nobody to take my order. The girl then realised she had to take my order and then got it wrong anyway ....!!
Great location, ease of check in/out, and fab decor.

ChinaI got seriously injured by a sharp door stopper in the room. The door stopper was so sharp that it cut my foot skin off. I reported to the front desk, but they could only say sorry. Though the sharp part was patched with blue tags, I got no compensation for the injury. I have paid for the breakfast during my stay, but the breakfast barely includes bread. Hot meals like scrambled eggs required extra payments. I only ate one breakfast and I didn't go to the rest 2 breakfasts .
Great location. The room is big and clean.

IrelandThe only negative from our stay was the breakfast, very poor to say the least, paid for continental, Al a carte only to be told after we had eaten that we had to pay for cooked breakfast, only one member of staff cooking and the breakfast room was packed so had to wait ages. Not much on offer for the continental just cereal and a few pastries no cheese or eggs was really bad selection,so only book the room and eat breakfast elsewhere.
The hotel was exceptional, couldn't have asked for a better room 5 star everything you could want .The view from our top floor balcony was utterly breath taking especially at night.

AustraliaDon't eat at the downstairs bar/restaurant! Drink but don't eat. Had to send our microwaved beef patty $32 burgers back! How hard is it to throw a beef patty on a grill chef? Disappointed to say the least. Sweet girl working at the bar was fantastic and dealt with this in a very professional manner. Thank you :)
Comfortable room, fabulous view and close to great jazz nightlife.

The room is very cozy, and most importantly: soundproof. We got our good night sleep. Plus the lady upgraded us to a nice room.
