A nicely decorated, comfortable and bright room, close to shops and restaurants/cafes as well as beach walks and the tidal pool. The kitchenette was invaluable and great to see sustainability measures being taken. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this motel to others.

The rooms were very cosy and the paintings amazing. The view from our ocean view room is stunning. We would open up our curtains and enjoy the beautiful views from our room.

The room is spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we need. However, it's worth noting that there is no toaster, toothpaste, or toothbrush provided, which is ok for us. The location is fantastic, close to the tidal swimming pool, cafes, and jetty. The staff are nice and polite. The only complaint I have is that the kettle wasn't quite clean enough for my liking.

The lights on the baranda/garden.are on during the whole night, so the room gets never dark, which can.be a bit annoying for some pitch dark sleepers. There are no restaurant/kitchen options within the motel.

Well located, close to the main.street, with cafés, restaurants and the tidal pool across the road. Very clean, with good heating/aircon and a coffee machine in the room. Nice garden to.eat or have your morning coffee.

We would have loved more curtains. If we had them open, other guests could look straight into our room when the walked past and when they were closed they did not block out the light at night. If you like to sleep in darkness, pack an eye mask.

For us personally we would love a microwave but O know some places don’t like to encourage cooking things. We managed using how water for noodle boxes etc

Bookings for dinner at the restaurants in Kingscote highly recommended especially on a Tuesday when nothing much open

The small kitchen has no actual cooking facilities - no oven or microwave, no plates or cutlery - but there is a sink, fridge and glasses. Shame, because it would make the room much more self sufficient.

Excellent location, easy stroll to sea pool, beachfront as well as local shops and cafes. Clean, modern room and good en-suite shower, etc.

Nowhere to hang wet towels.

We loved this hip retro sea view apartment. Very stylish and gorgeous refurbished 1960s motel. Spacious, light filled and comfortable. Lovely bedding and towels. Easy walk to pub and eateries. Right near walking track and tidal pool. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Overall, we had a great stay but the bed wasn't the most comfortable to sleep on.

We had a garden-view room with two double beds and a nice bathroom. I liked the aesthetics of the room. In the room, there was also a fridge and a kitchen sink but no microwave - which would have been useful since many places in Kangaroo Island close early for dinner. Near the motel, there are a few cafes and restaurants and a nice seafront walk. We arrived late so we had to arrange for a late check-in so our keys were left in a lockbox with instructions sent in an email.

Lovely motel, with clean, modern rooms. The room was a great size and was stocked with tea and coffee. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of info on what to do on the Island. Location wise, there isnt much around the motel, but thats pretty standard for Kangaroo Island as its very quiet (and huge - prepare for lots of driving)
