How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great little cottage Close to what I needed Provided lots of things for a comfortable stay Bed wasn’t that comfortable unfortunately . I didn’t like that I had to go out side to go wash my dishes At a camp/ communal kitchen. Definitely not what I was expecting. Definitely had plumbing problems..as the sink kept filling up with water and not being able to empty..the same with the toilet..it was blocked so I could flush it or go to the toilet. Serious issue

Trains close by were a little annoying at times but there weren't many and they didn't disturb us overnight. Dishwashing facilities in the shed a bit primitive but adequate. The short partition alongside one end of the bed made it a little difficult to get in and out on that side and made access to the bedside table awkward. Not a significant problem - just an annoyance.

Our lock box was a bit tricky to open took a while. Why was the mattress upside down with the pillow top on the underside? I do find kitchen areas that don't have a dedicated sink a bit tricky to negotiate. At least we did have a bowl and wash up gear and tea towel provided.
no breakfast offered so can't comment, but plenty of tea, sugar and coffee supplied with crockery to make your own. Easy to find property, quiet , in tropical like garden setting. Good space, with lounge chairs and verandah

Although we were aware that we would be staying near the train line, passing trains were quite loud starting from the early hours of the morning. Ear plugs were provided.

Minor things I would have liked include: to have some tissues or paper towels supplied, to have had pictures of the outside so that you're aware that this unit is in the middle of the block surrounded by the house and other shared buildings, curtains that let you separate the privacy-screening lace from the light-blocking fabric (if I wanted some privacy from others on the block, I had to just pull the curtains and lose daylight in the unit).
The location was excellent, close to the CBD, cafes, and the train station. The gardens and outdoor areas were lovely. Not a like or dislike: the train line is very close, and it goes into the evening and early morning with a bell at the crossing around the corner. If you're a light sleeper or sensitive to sounds then this could be disruptive; I found I woke up a couple of times but went straight back to sleep ok.

So close to the train track - would recommend light sleepers don't stay here, but we got used to the trains driving past day and night, so it didn't bother us.
Excellent value for money, and incredible gardens. Located so close to the city centre. The extra facilities, eg laundry, BBQ and outdoor sitting areas, were just fantastic.

My son was unimpressed that there was no TV, but there was wifi which worked well. The trains pass very close, and do go through the night on certain days. By the second night I slept through it.
The venue is set in a lovely garden block. Residences a close but private and the shared facilities looked good but I didn’t need to use them except for the dishwashing area. It would be great for 2 or 3 families travelling as a group to rent the three units.
