Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaMy in- laws and I stayed there with our young families. Unfortunately, I would not call this a "family friendly" home. The house needs some MAJOR maintenance work. There was rotting timber in the shower, rusted pots in the kitchen, which was also covered in ants, as well as only two usable drinking glasses - despite it allegedly sleeping 11. The amenities supplied in the house are very old, unclean - I question where they came from - hard rubbish? Thank goodness I packed a travel cot as the one supplied was completely unsafe and not to SIDs code, with an incredibly old mattress inside. I wouldn't trust these positive reviews and their legitimacy.

AustraliaThe host contacted us to advise that the hot water was broken and she had arranged alternate accommodation. In the first instance, that was appreciated but when it was learned that the property was let to others for the same period that we had booked, we confronted the host she went into hysterics, assaulted one of our party and called the police. I have serious misgivings that the alternate accommodation is even legal. There are certainly not smoke detectors in either of the "bungalows" at 133 Neale Street. I certainly would never book with this host again. If I could rate it below a zero I would..
That the Police attended to intervene in the assault on members of our party by the host.
