Nothing. The only issue we had was with Portland. Finding somewhere to eat in the evening can be difficult in the week so plan ahead.

What can I say… Everything. It’s a lovely restored 110yr old house. Our host was excellent; welcoming & facilitated all we needed. Room (no.1) we had was huge with four poster. Lots of areas to sit and relax with a free glass of wine! A lovely experience, would absolutely return there in the future.

Loved the extra special touches.... beer, wine, water, soft drinks, port, tea, coffee available anytime. Roger and Louis the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Cooked breakfast was awesome value. This has been the bestest BnB we have ever stayed at.

I would have liked to stay longer.

Lorelei is a very special stay. The house is stunning. I wish we had more time just to sit and enjoy its beauty. The room was spacious and super comfy. Roger the host is very friendly. It was so nice to be welcomed more as a friend than a paying guest. The breakfast provided was more than adequate but we paid for the cooked breakfast. It was great value, great quality and kept us going for most of the day. We really enjoyed Portland and our stay at Lorelei. I hope we get to return again soon.

Nothing it was amazing

What a gem of a find, gorgeous old house and conveniently located to everything. Our host Roger was amazing and the amenities were excellent. The room was spacious and the bed was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The extra touches including providing beer and wine and soft drinks and breakfast made it even better value for money. And the cooked breakfast was amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of this place and recommend anyone thinking of visiting Portland to use Lorelei B & B as a stop over.

A beautiful Bed & Breakfast full of charm! The house and its Victorian-style early 20th-century decor are wonderfully preserved. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. The other guests were also very friendly, and there were plenty of lovely conversations in the cozy living room or over breakfast. Another highlight is the stunning Cape Bridgewater, a fantastic beach nearby, perfect for swimming. I was able to borrow beach towels from the accommodation. Super cute victorian style home with many amenities. Claw-foot tube, beautiful parlor and dining room. Proper breakfast for only $10. Roger and his retired greyhound race dog, Lou, were amazing hosts. Would definitely stay again and for more than one night!

We had a lovely room, really enjoyed having the spa bath. The breakfast was great and it was really interesting to hear the history of the house from Roger (who is a great host). Really appreciated meeting Lou the greyhound and the red wine in the lounge area. Very cosy. Great location in Portland.

Roger and the Lorelei provided us a wonderful stay in Portland, with an outstanding room including a super comfortable bed. He guided us to a great dinner, and set a very nice healthy breakfast table. Everything in town is walkable from the Lorelei.

I wish we could stay longer!

The house is beautiful and the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was great too - you are definitely getting offered so much more than a regular continental breakfast. Location is great too - close to everything in town.

Lovely accommodation. We paid extra because it was Nye but it was worth being close to the celebrations. It was a short but really nice stay. Host was warm a welcoming.
