How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Parking was ok although there doesn't seem to be too many car spaces for hotel guests.
The location was excellent - right in the centre of the city and walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

The floorboards creaked a lot. The bathroom door was hard to close. The after hours access to the car park was an issue. The pool was out for maintenance.

Air conditioning does not cope with Brisbane’s summer. Controls do not work and room is uncomfortably warm

Not much of a view from our unit room. looked straight into offices. Other units may have better views.
Great location. Close to shops , food places and trains. Plus has parking spaces for hotel guests. Rooms were clean, very quiet room , had no problems with street noise.

Aircon noisy, dishwasher didn't work

Main bathroom toilet needs adjusting/fixing. Couldn't flush unless 2nd bathroom toilet flushed first. Vent near dining table dripped.
Location excellent. Apartment quiet, noise from inner CBD did not intrude.

The aircon is a bit noisy and the bath/shower area is too high to climb in, a potential hazards for trip and falls.
Rooms are spacious and the location is very close to shops and amenities.

In need of some serious TLC. Drains smelt of mould, one of the toilets and a cupboard were broken, carpets need to be replaced immediately and the bed cover had stains on it. No shower curtain so lots of water on the bathroom floor and only 1 small bath mat provided. Air conditioner is v hard to work out and no instructions provided. For the price, standards need to lift.
Spacious apartment in a great location, easy walk to restaurants, sights and public transport. Soft towels and all the amenities you need. Staff very helpful and responsive.

Situated on a busy corner - cabs would only park a distance away which made it difficult for my elderly mother to shuffle in her frame to the front doors

Unfortunately, this apartment was quite lacking in amenities when it came to kitchenware....no ovenware for either microwave or conventional oven. No salad, fruit bowl, or serving platter. Doors to the two balcony areas only had one door able to open and were quite narrow. One door could not be locked .and needed attending to for security. Cushions on the main balcony settees did not have covers. The roof to said balcony did not close properly, so, therefore, a hailstorm we encountered just after arrival allowed cushions to get wet. This stay had been our second to this hotel, around 20 months apart, and like last time, the pool was not available as it was still undergoing maintenance. .
The convenience of the location of the hotel.. The apartment 902 was large and quite comfortable, and the extra 'powder room' was convenient for our party of four and some guests who visited us during our stay.
