Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.
We were there to see our granddaughters play at the fields outside, so it was a perfect location. It was close to the club to eat.

There was very little to dislike in the Mantra.
We only used the breakfast buffet on the Saturday. Food was good

More sound proofing required between rooms. Could clearly hear others conversations in rooms neighbouring the one I stayed in.
Location was great. Close to hospital. Free parking on site. Access to Sharks bistro.

It's a bit pricey for what they offer as it's mainly quality motel room's that's why I had to book a suite which still was high in price compared to what I can get at Hope Island (the penisular when they have specials for a few nights stays) DIdn't get my request for fresh lactose free milk. Didn't have a cutting board and sharp knife in draw and no dish rack and you also need a glass bowl with lid the size of 3 cups to cook items in the microwave and bring pepper/salt. On entry to room it had stains on carpet. Stayed two nights and would have liked more coffee capsules and english breakfast tea. Also paying more money for a suite I would have liked toothbrush & paste on offer due to last minute need to stay close by to GC private Hospital. I wanted to order room service but there was no information as to how to do this. A card with instruction on changing air-con (it also didn't have a wisper quiet night mode so a bit loud).
Plenty of parking (free) if you had a car. Close to Helensvale train station...$17 for Uber to mantra sharks... I loved the suite with seperate bedroom. I loved the cleaness. I loved it was walking distance to hospital and there was a wollworths near the hospital to pick up food for the kitchenette. Note: no oven or hotplates. I loved it had 3 seperate eating cuisine's at Sharks' and a bottle shop. I loved the quiet room (409) at top level and down the back of property. I loved coffee pod machine in my room and the kitchenette layout. Loved easy checkin on arrival & easy departure. Loved I could get an Urber Eats delivery cause I arrived late that night. Loved staff. Loved the place. Really loved your bottles of products in the bathroom..very natural. Joined the 'Sharks' club for 3yrs and got a $20 gift to spend so my breakfast costs $5...it was my birthday in a few days.

Not what I was expecting. Very comfortable and relaxing. The room was very clean and loved the fact that multiple dinner options just down stairs after a big day. We also loved the toiletries fitted to the room. Which I have now ordered for ourselves at home . Would definitely visit again.

That the Rooftop Bar was strictly 18 and over. We wanted a quick bit and then my Daughter and Niece were going back to the room, and we were staying on with some friends that had come to visit with us. However, we could not even do this as the kids were under 18(Both 17). Instead we had to go into the other venue that was not really what we preferred. Also I did not understand how being with your parents in a pub/ club with Pokies is any different than the rooftop bar. Other than that, everything was great.
Everything was clean and the staff were lovely. Check in was smooth.

Nothing that I can think of. No improvement required as far as I am concerned.
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The parking was convenient. The restaurant had a great breakfast. All in all the experience was good and I would come back to stay again.
