The room was small for 2 single beds and 2 suitcases. Being in a central location it could be a bit noisy late at night.

The exhaust fan didn’t work and despite asking reception to assist, we had to shower with the door open. The lobby was dead, boarded up shops, no energy no vibes. The hot tub was not working, no heat. The pool fence was also broken so we had to go through the entire building.

Balcony door lock was faulty , concerns over safety in the room from outside access.. wouldn’t have taken much to break through lock as it was very loose

There is a need to fix a couple of small issues which were handles were missing from three draws in the kitchen, no TV in the bedroom (though a bracket in there where one used to be), and perhaps look at replacing the airconditioner as the bottom has bits missing and the plastic cover is yellowed with age (it worked well though).

I was upgraded to a one bedroom apartment with views and balcony out the front. Lovely green trees to enjoy. The apartment was spacious and included a full size kitchen and bathroom with washing machine and dryer. Staff were efficient and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay of 7 nights.

Initially the facilities seemed a little dated. The first room was very basic and dated with a bathroom that proved difficult to find a consistent water temperature and inadequate room. More rooms need to be updated to provide a consistent experience for customers. Turn down service would have been nice given the time we stayed even if it was once a week - rather than requesting items at reception.

Great location and the staff were exceptional - Nyk was amazing to find a room upgrade so quickly and checked the room herself as well. Highly recommend upgrading to an apartment suite for room and better facilities as the upgrade made the stay all the better.

They offered a kettle but were no PowerPoints to plug it in so was using it on the bathroom sink, a couple of modern pieces of furniture in the room, but it was overall very dated. Delayed checkin despite them confirming and me confirming several time id be in cairns at from 9 am with small children after leaving home at 230am and would like a room at 2pm checkin only to be left waiting in lobby with sooky children.

The apartment had a terrible smell of old smoke (previous occupants must have been heavy smokers). The smell never went away the whole time we stayed there. The sofa bed was impossible to sleep on - the bed frame was so buckled, we had to take the mattress off and put it on the floor, which provided some relief, but the mattress was very old and bad quality so it still wasn’t very comfortable. No tumble dryer and nowhere to dry clothes once washing machine had completed, apart from a retractable line in the damp bathroom.

Location was excellent - overlooking the esplanade and lagoon. Main bed was comfortable. Washing machine was very convenient. Good kitchen facilities. Good wardrobe space.

I was 'upgraded' upon check in, but it was an unrenovated room with a city view instead of the esplanade (I would have preferred to stay in the esplanade view)

Car park is tight, but was important feature for me. Didnt want my 4x4 on the street. That was why I chose this location over 3 other nearby options.

Loved the location for this special time with my teenage daughter. Having balcony looking out toward the north also gave us spectacular views of the lagoons and the triple thunderstorms that week. Was able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go in the city even in the high humidity. Only used gym once but excellent addition. Was the perfect choice. Staff were exceptional.
