The back gate to the pool area needs to be covered with something to make the area private. One day 2 men were sitting outside drinking in the public area and could clearly see directly in while we were on deck chairs

Expected HotTub /Spa pool to be hot. Advised hot tub was same temperature as pool which was luke warm. Pool area mainly in shade. However free lagoon. pool not far from hotel .

The location is perfect! It was so convenient to simply walk out the doors and have access to a range of cafes and restaurants for meals. As a birdwatcher, we were located right on the esplanade which is a birding paradise. The rooms, although small, were comfortable and had everything that we needed.

The only negative was that the pool facilities were always in the shade, and it was too cool to swim.

Rooms were well appointed, very comfortable, spacious and clean. it was great having a kitchenette and washing machine. Fantastic location, very Central and walking distance to the Marina, shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

A hotel of the Mantra's size and reputation should offer wifi free, for the entire stay, not just two hour slots

property is a bit dated, walls have scratches and marks, sun block blinds in lounge room and dining room are missing. could do with bigger table on the balcony, little wooden table with two chairs is not sufficient for 3 bedroom apartment. furniture dated and uncomfortable. swimming pool is in the shade all the time, no sun spots at all, spar didn’t work and was not made aware of it prior.

Being a less than 5 star hotel, the rooms are mostly well presented and spotless. Some reviews have stated the bad experience with cleanliness now and again but mostly a well kept hotel. During our stay, the foyer was being freshly painted. Sadly, the painters for the chosen company didn't have a good reputation for covering all furniture thoroughly and lacked more professionalism in care for a business needing a service. Some shops in the foyer were barren to the potential hotel breakfast for tourists in the future, which we hope maybe next time we stay will be filled with a cafe or a breakfast bar/restaurant in competition to Vivaldi's and will help attract a nice buzz to the hotel.

The view, restaurant (Vivaldi's), and staff were fantastic. The room was spotless and had two air conditioning units.

Needed somewhere to put luggage ie some sort of bench for the luggage and not the floor. Also a mirror in the room would be good as only a mirror in the bathroom.

Same price but no room turnovers, bar limited hours. Embarrassing to have to request more toilet paper due to lack of room service. No compendium to disclose facilities. No bin shute notices or expectations in every apartment (we had 3), no indication of how to recycle.

Location, staff, we enjoyed the early access to a room and we were kindly given 3 one bedroom apartments on the same floor, travelling as a family of 6 that was great.

Wifi - 2 hours that should have been 6 hour cumulating at least - very poor for a 3 day stay Lack of servicing should have been countered with more generous supply at the start when staying for multiple days so we did not need to keep asking for supplies.

Whilst there wasn't anything we didn't really like, we felt that because of our age (70's) getting in and out of the bath for showering, made us a bit anxious in terms of balance etc. I would suggest a bath/wall rail or two would assist in this area. If there was an exhaust fan for the bathroom, I'm afraid we couldn't find it. :-) We moved the TV & the TV stand into the bedroom. We tried to fit the aerial connection to the one in the bedroom, so that reconfiguring the aerial and power cord connector wouldn't be an issue, but the aerial wouldn't connect to the one in the bedroom. So, with the shutter style doors which closed off the bedroom from the living areas, we were able to feed the power cord and aerial (which remained connected in the living room,), through the door slats and accessed the TV service in that manner. It worked!! Great having the option of watching TV/Sport in a very relaxed state.

Our expectations in terms of location, facilities within our self contained apartment.....convection microwave (!), stove top cooking, washer & dryer (bonus!), fridge, TV, etc etc. cutlery & cooking utensils adequate. No complaints. We had a balcony - which offered wonderful views of the mountains/hills on a clear day, and a great place for brekky, or afternoon drinks. Vivalid's restaurant contained within the Mantra is a must visit. Sensational meals and service! Staff were very pleasant and accommodating, both in the restaurant and Mantra reception/service staff. If we had an in-room problem, maintenance were prompt in responding and attending. Access to so many eateries, water activities, dining and entertainment meant we didn't need to hire a car. Everything was within walking distance.
