I don't think I would have changed a thing. The room was a little out dated if I had to pick something. Netflix would have been great. After getting back from dinner each night would have been good to watch a movie as the options were very limited but that's a minor thing.

The location was perfect you could walk outside and be in the heart of things cafes ,restaurants, lagoon etc The apartment was clean and spacious for 2 people loved having the option to wash your clothes or cook yourself breakfast etc. The A/C was good for those hot days. Supplying beach towels was great to. I wouldn't have packed mine if I had known. The wifi was good.

Booked a city & pool view. Almost $300 a night and got views of the trees and noise on opposite side - Would like refund of difference please. No confirmation from reception staff on Check-in of room type paid for. Almost $300/night and no housekeeping service unless pay for it. Balcony no privacy & table /chairs so small you could not fit your legs under. You would not fit a pizza and 2 drinks on the table. Free "2 hour" wi-fi cant be used effectively on balcony. Shared entry - noisy when neigbours returned late. Obviously meant to be like interconnecting type but lacks privacy. Shower is poor. tiles grouting black. shower head too close to wall ..I am medium size and cant get under the shower completely and poor pressure. Bottom of the shower curtain is black with grime.. My wife would love to have taken a bath but not in this bath/room/hotel. Security poor - A person followed us in the door after hours..said they forgot the key . reception let them up to the floor via elevator ..no confirmation of name or room number. What`s the point of locking the security door? Use of room space/layout poor..everything is big, bed, sofa , coffee table..no where to put your suitcase(s) except on the floor and step over them. no luggage rack apart from a small shelf inside the cupboard. Accessible power points: either behind the bedside table/bed or move the sofa to access a powerpoint..or in the bathroom. Either boil the pot next to your bed or next to the toilet !! It`s 2023 surely free wi-fi during stay is the norm. Maybe the poorest Value For Money hotel (room) I have stayed in for a while

Rooms are well in need of some Tender Loving Care. It would have been nice to have breakfast in the hotel and not have to go down the street.

Pool area was good and the foyers to the rooms were excellent and looked as though they had been given a makeover. The desk staff upon arrival were super friendly and obliging.

It was already "tired" in 2017 when I stayed there. I thought it may have been renovated since then. It is very run down inside and more like 3 star. Our room also didn't even have bowls for cereal or spoons and the fridge was just about dead, barely cold. Skirting boards with old build up dust/dirt. No cafe now or restaurant - it's just begging for the smell of coffee and bacon when you walk out the lifts but there's nothing there anymore. Pool furniture really old and some with rusting feet Spa pool was cold. Free WIFI only if you join Accor - not sure if that costs money yet?. Its just a hotel thats had its day and its time to either gut it and start again or knock it down..

We paid a lot of money for an apartment that was meant to be 1 bedroom but has sliding shutters that were used to close off the bedroom area so it was more like a studio. Not ideal with a small child. Utensils were also dirty and covered in rust.

The room when we checked in smelt like wee and the room wasn’t cleaned. The room is outdated and I understand for its location the price however I was expecting something more. Didn’t really feel safe. Also the bath/shower is extremely dangerous. Needs to be a non-slip mat or just either a shower or bath in there. Couldn’t wash my hair standing up in the bath/ shower and nearly slipped multiple times. Also the towel racks are placed inconveniently, they are placed about the toilet so you either have to push them back or take them off to use the toliet.

1st room that we were allocated had a very strong, mouldy smell coming from the aircon. The whole family got sick (respiratory symptoms) after staying there for 1 night. Requested the next day to be swapped to another room and it was better but still had a slight smell.

The staff were bombastic, overbearing and confusing, if not out and out untruthful, in their interpretation of house policy. Room was paid in full before arrival by credit card on line. On arrival a separate deposit to cover incidentals was required. Staff claimed that this separate deposit could not be paid by digital credit card because digital credit card technology does not have ability to perform the type of transaction required for this type of deposit ie a pending transaction that could be reversed Jo. It was claimed this deposit had to be paid by physical credit card (AUD $100.00 deposit) or cash (AUD $200.00). There was claim that this was all set out in pre-arrival information. On check and review of pre-arrival information (after paying the deposit by non digital credit card means) there was no mention of this type of restriction of payment indeed it said cash payments were not accepted. In adding insult to this insult at our next accommodations (also in the Cairns region) this type of pending deposit for incidentals was done by digital credit card for AUD $1.00, yes AUD $1.00. So, if you want position within Cairns tourist area by all means stay there but don’t expect a smiling face. Also they do not have in-house vending machines.

Location was close to the Esplanade, pier precinct, Night Markets (not that they are much of an attraction), foreshore promenades and parklands.
