Fire alarm awoke us before 6 am and went off for more than ten minutes before they stopped it. Super annoying. The carpets need a good cleaning or replacement because of the damp mustiness.

View of esplanade, free wifi, good security, location, lanai with cafe table and chairs, spacious. We were upgraded for free as ACCOR member and nearby restaurant Coco's Kitchen and Bar was in another ACCOR hotel which honored the promised 50% off our dinner tab for two. Our discount of $62 was greater than the balance due of $58. Air conditioning was excellent. Milk and tea & instant coffee was a nice touch.

Location is great,close to restaurants and the waterfront. When booking in advised we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment✔️. Croon was clean and well layer out.

Located on the Esplanade within a 10-minute walk of the Marina and a 20-minute walk to the train station for the train to Kuranda. We had a one-bedroom apartment with a “panoramic city view” (it was lovely to wake up to see the Woolworths shop every morning!) Seriously though, the apartment had a fully equipped kitchen, nice sitting room, bedroom with a massive comfy bed, and a bathroom with a bath and also a washing machine and drier. We had a nice balcony, although the aircon unit blew hot air at you and we found you needed to turn it off before sitting outside. The hotel had a nice, if somewhat cold, outside pool. There was a gym, which we didn’t use. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and there was an endless supply of tea and coffee available at reception.

Curtains were old and not backed with block out, causing me to have too much light in the room overnight and not sleep well .

We were in a room that had an adjoining door to another room and it was quite loud when the neighbours came back closing and undoing their door. Also the little room that has both doors has a light which couldn't be turned off and the gap in the door made it very bright

Some utilities missing from kitchen, e.g ice cube tray, placemats, water jug. The toaster was a small cheap plastic job. The furniture was old and outdated. The day blinds were missing leaving only the blackout blinds. However, the positives of this hotel outweigh the negatives. An icecube tray would have been handy though 😔

Stayed in 1 bedroom apartment. A basic space with good balcony views of the Esplanade. A central position within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, the lagoon, galleries, city shops, etc. The hotel is very quiet & the staff are lovely. The apartment was very clean.

Bathroom requires a lick of paint. AC unit requires service, not working efficiently. Preferred additional towels on-site vs requesting, suggest two towels per head count, though I understand this may not be always possible as some guests can be wasteful.

Location was fantastic, view was great as view of the trees/ vegetation (birds ) Front desk team where more than accomodating on our requests.
