I didn't like the fire alarms that went off two days in a row. Clearly not the hotels fault, but there just so Dam loud.

It is central, walking distance to many places. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The shower was amazing! Rare to find a hotel with good water pressure. Would definitely come back!!

I was under the assumption the room had a balcony. Was disappointed that it didn't. Otherwise the rooms were very nice.

The stove top needs to be cleaned with specific ceramic/glass cleaner and a scraper. Staff sent me down the back when I arrived to the elevator and to use an intercom without checking if they at reception should be checking me in, they didn’t even ask my name etc. very tired arriving at 2am and not just being greeted and checked in, booking stated I would be around 1am check in so not many at that time I imagine.

The main thing was the gym was less than good, a tiny room with very little equipment and no free weights. The hotel was undergoing renovations, but can't knock them down for making improvements.

Good location, friendly helpful staff. Room was great, spacious, self contained and clean. Enjoyed my stay.

Nil access to pool due to maintenance- Horrendously noisey (we weren’t told of maintenance prior to booking and could not cancel the booking when they eventually told us). Prior to arrival I asked for a room on the opposite side of the hotel to the pool, this was not accommodated. It was very very loud. We were unable to enjoy the balcony or have the doors open.

Great location in the CBD. Tidy rooms.

The housekeeping didn’t show up. Lucky we had a washing machine so I cleaned our towels and sheets myself.

At reception a young man couldn't understand why I didn't want to join the Mantra "club" - persistent to the point of annoying. Reception charged $100 security deposit which took over 2 weeks to be refunded - they then chose to "blame the bank" and told me to sort it out - very poor public relations and process. At booking pool was advertised as being back in service but AFTER registration we were informed it was still out of action - deceptive! We booked AND PAID FOR a harbour view but got a city view with a harbour glimpse. Again deceptive

Shame that the pool is still out of action. Not a big issue but shampoo and shower gel bottles were empty. Even though I requested a refill the shampoo was refilled but still no shower gel!

The shower frequently ran cold, few necessities missing from the kitchen- plug, sponge/kitchen cloth, scissors and the tea hadn’t been topped up when we arrived. The location is excellent, but it is very noisy on Thurs/Fri nights with loud club music audible until the early hours. The pool was also closed for maintenance which we didn’t know when we booked it. It was one of the features we booked the property for. There was an alternative pool option available across the road at a nearby hotel, however it wasn’t nearly as good.

Was disappointed that at the time of booking we weren't advised that the pool was closed for repairs. The property had plenty of opportunity, to advise us beforehand. Staff on reception could be better informed about how to provide guests with a tax invoice for business purposes. Got the complete run around between the property and bookings.com

A very nice room with excellent amenities including washing machine and dryer.

The pool was out of action and this was not advised at time of booking and only after check in. Could be interpreted as intentional deception. A $100 security deposit was required which after 6 days has not been refunded. Reception “blames the banks” but this is just an excuse - the hotel took the money they are responsible - it’s a “cop out” to blame someone else!
