Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe apartment is under a motorway bridge and can be a little noisy at times - Unfortunately our apartment had no nets on windows and so could be viewed by the office block directly opposite?
Basic room layout nice and clean, staff very welcoming and helpful. Location was near to railway station back to airport and easy walking to Marina, Sydney Opera House and Harbour bridge and not too far to Fish market and China Town. Local bars are plentiful and a nearby Metro store is great for the self catering facilities.

AustraliaGiven the age of the property, it is well maintained.
As our offices are in Barangaroo, Napoleon on Kent is the perfect location for the 5 min walk to the office. Super convenient being next to Wynyard station for transfers from the airport. I checked in after hours and the emailed instructions were very clear allowing for self check in that took less than 1 minute. My studio room has a newly renovated bathroom which was such an unexpected treat, best yet was a property ironing board and decent iron for my outfit the next day. Well done on the amenities for a business traveller. With block out curtains and good glazing, I slept very well on a comfortable bed with warm blanket.

AustraliaLighting could be a bit better - obviously fewer windows leads to a quieter apartment. TV indoor Arial wasn't very good so could only get one channel on the TV. Not a major issue as we weren't in the apartment a lot - but it would have been nice to have the choice. Only one tiny tube of body wash, shampoo etc for a 3 day stay - we ended up buying our own as didn't bring thinking we would get provided.
Location was really good - I was sceptical at first when I saw the position of the apartments- beneath a busy overpass and on a busy road junction - BUT the apartment was so quiet. No issues at all. We stayed in a very spacious apartment on the first floor with a King Bed. No views to speak of - but had a little bit of a balcony - which we didn't use. Very close to Wynyard Station so makes for easy commute to Airport on the one line. Plenty of buses too from around the same area so very easy to get about Sydney. Barangaroo a short 5 min walk to ferry's and bars and restaurants. Check in and out very easy and staff were lovely and accommodating. Kitchen equipped with all the things you would expect.

New ZealandSmall things… no bedside lamp and mould starting to form in the bathroom
The location is perfect being so close to the harbour. The room is comfortable with everything I needed for a short stay. I was absolutely thrilled that I could have an early check in without being charged. This was a bonus

AustraliaThe location is the obvious winner here. It was right near my office and so close to Barangaroo, where i went for lunch. A quick walk back to the hotel. I was actually really impressed for the price. The room was oldish but clean and had all the things you would need if you stayed longer. I found the room quite quiet considering it was right on Kent street. The bed was a little hard (invest in some bamboo mattress toppers! People would love it) but it was totally fine. I had a surprisingly nice stay and would definitely stay again.

AustraliaIt was very noisy. I didn't realise the hotel was under an overpass (road) and also we were on the ground floor so we could hear all the traffic and sirens.
The hotel was in a good location and very close to Wynyard station. The room was very clean and spacious with a simple kitchenette.
