We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaCommunication between booking.com and oaks. We were charged parking when it was communicated days before our arrival and acknowledged that we didn't need one . The card was charged extra for car space , but refunded when I advised them. Showerhead in one room was also stuck on jet and didn't have normal stream, and TV had no reception, only stayed 1 night, so not concerned. Staff at the front desk were not overly friendly or helpful, and I expected a bit more considering what we paid per night .
The room itself was lovely , clean and tidy, a good-sized lounge and kitchen, and we had an amazing view of the story bridge and city view. Location was close to Southbank and a 10 min walk to central station, 5 mins to Queen Street mall.

AustraliaWe seemed to have a leaking fridge which meant that few times through out the stay there was water on the kitchen floor causing one of us to slip. The beds are quite hard - not intolerable but would be nice for them to be a bit softer. Also no aircon in bedrooms was a bit bad but with the apartment shut up the lounge aircon reached into there by midnight.
The hotel reception manager (didn't get her name) was lovely. So kind and easy to speak to. She went above and beyond to assist us with our request and couldn't have been more satisfied with her help.

AustraliaWell located hotel right on Southbank. One bedroom small apartment on the 12th floor which had a comfortable bed, and good soundproofing. Coffee machine with pods, including decaf which I thought was a nice touch. Everything was clean. Front desk staff were lovely and I like that it's staffed 24/7. Nice city and river view from the balcony.
