Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Australia1. Lack of drinking/running water. When we arrived and checked in at 3.30pm we were unaware that there was no water connected to the property due to a localised issue on the street. Using the contact number through booking.com we contacted after 6.30pm saying there was an issue with the water. As council was switching it on and off (unknown to us) we assumed at times the issue had been resolved. At 8pm we were informed via the contact that Sydney Water had cut off water at the property. As we were travelling with a newborn, we stated that this was unacceptable. The property contact replied soon after saying all of Lithgow had no water and so we would be unable to find suitable lodgings elsewhere. We contacted Lithgow Council to discover the water issue had been since the early afternoon and that it was localised to the street. We then went and purchasd our own drinking water. The water sporadically returned during the following day, enough to have a shower and prepare to attend a wedding. Council resolved the issue by approx 3.30pm. We were able to have decent showers and wash up kitchen crockery prior to leaving the property. It was disappointing that the property manager/owner was unaware of the water supply issue prior to our arrival. When it was discovered that the supply issue was "an act of god", emergency management procedures should have existed for the property and should have been followed (ideally). They were aware that we were travelling with a newborn. I believe a better solution should have been reached other than being told incorrectly that "all of town was experiencing the same problem" at 8pm that night. 2. The property is advertised as being child friendly when it is definitely not. - The stair case is steep and does not have a child gate to stop children from accessing the stairs and falling down them. - There is a small unmarked step at the top and bottom of the stairs that are trip hazards.
1. The property was advertised as not having WiFi, however WiFi was available - that was a positive. 2. The location and the views from the property are simply spectacular. You could see kangaroos grazing in the grass behind the property and sulphur crested cockatoos and finches in the trees and on neighbouring rooftops. 3. The primary room was large enough to have a travel cot set-up and plenty of space to walk around.

AustraliaTV not able to receive signal- NO TV ( no antenna on roof) Washing Machine not working. ( full to brim with water and constantly leaks onto bathroom floor- slipping hazard) No water coming out of tap in laundry tub. Heating only in bedrooms rest of house an ice box.!! Power keeps turning off when using appliances. No keys met with door already open. Beds are cheap, creaky and too short for a 5 foot 11 inch person. My feet were touching metal poles at the end and mattresses are thin old and hard. I had to buy 2 new mattresses to place on top of the ones already there at a cost of $1200 because I paid for 10 nights and we would not have been able to sleep otherwise. Bedding, pillows thin and cheap, towels good for the rag bag. 1 tiny cheap cupboard for clothes to be hanged and shared for both bedrooms ! No dishwasher. Whole house wobbles as it is on metal poles 18 steps in the air. Bins over flowing with rubbish and electricity pole blocking driveway at front. The place is for sale so owner doesn't care ( for sale sign out front ) WAY OVER PRICED AND YOU GET DEFRAUDED....STAY AWAY OWNER DOESN'T CARE !!! Have photos as proof for all I have explained. AND bank records for mattress purchases and laundromat expenses
Bathroom was just ok

AustraliaThe tv didn’t work & the property has no Wi-Fi which for the cost it’s very unuasual to not have Wi-Fi access.
Nice little cabin, perfect for a couple of nights. Location was good & great view. Property was clean, the bathrooms had been recently renovated and good value for money

AustraliaThere was NO TV reception, managed to get one channel and it was not continuous. The antenna was internal 'rabbit' ears and a pain to try and get any reception - no signal was the theme., there was no rooftop antenna, I took photos. The garage was unsafe due to white drainage pipes protruding from the slab - making a trip hazard., I took photos The footpath telegraph pole partially blocked the driveway making it tricky, would be more tricky for a large car, I took photos. There were NO plugs in the kitchen sink - lucky I found one in the laundry - however the washing machine which we did not use was leaking onto the floor, very unsafe. Most windows had no fly screens. There was no ironing board or iron, No bins in the bathrooms. The bath towels were suitable for the rag bag. I gave feedback to the contact via text and email, and received an acknowledgement with no follow up response after five working days. I suggested they could a consider a slight refund due to the inconveniences of our three night stay - no response..
It was freshly renovated and spacious
