Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaFacilities aren't great and the beds aren't very comfortable. Some rooms can also be very very small
Very mellow hostel, if you enjoy a calm laid back experience with a hostel this is the place to stay. Most people enjoy a good chat if that's what you're into.

United KingdomI don't remember if it said it in the booking but there's no housekeeping. At least not for our room. We stayed there over a week and only had someone come in to change the bin bag and nothing else. No new sheets or towels

BelgiumNo fan in the room, just a mini-machine, which honestly makes no difference. Sleeping together without fresh air is disturbing and disruptive. Think about improving this and adding air conditioning in the bedrooms. Kitchen very small, with a table for 4 people maximum... and the dishes + dishwasher area separated from the cooking areas is annoying because you always have to cross the whole room with pots and dishes and food. Reception closes at 4PM too early
Friendly, dynamic staff. Not too many people in the hostel so it’s quieter than elsewhere but still feels like a great community and spending time together is nice! Near public transport and the beach. Quiet street/area! Breakfast is included in the price and is good value for money compared to other place.

United KingdomOur room was on the top floor of the building so the wifi reception was basically non existent, and the fridges in the kitchen were pretty cramped and a bit dirty.
The free breakfast was basic but definitely a nice bonus, and the room came with a fan which was definitely needed because the weather was very hot during our stay! The room was clean and the bathrooms were always kept clean and tidy.

United KingdomOn the last night there were two people in my room being really noisy at night and walking in and out every 5 muinits. But what really made me feel uncomfortable was the fact that they were snorting illicit drugs and looking at me like they want to kill me but that was probably just bad luck.
I liked that I had somewhere to go at night time and that I could charge my phone up and free breakfast. And also made a couple friends

IndiaI actually only came here for the free breakfast and thought it was very cheap, straight up just the cheapest cereal, tea and bread with some spreads. Not even any orange juice! but hey free is free and I'll take it. Reminded me of a typical Aussie breakfast, I think you'll enjoy it more for the experience of waking up to eating something so utterly mid and sharing that experience with strangers. One think I didn't like was that the bunks don't have railings so it's easy to fall off (not that I did) and terrible ventilation inside the rooms so it smelled terrible. Also, there are no lockers for your stuff so be wary, I think everyone was very trustworthy however and I left my important belongings inside the room without any worries. Make some friends and you won't feel stressed about it!
I liked that it was cheap, and the idea of meeting new people. While I never really had the time to create a lasting friendship, I thought it was really fun bunking with 3 others and getting to know some of them.

Australiawould have been good to have a little milk for tea and coffee. Couldn't get the wi-fi to connect....tried several methods without success, but might have been some fault at my end!
Breakfast was good, with a variety of food and drink. The room was nice, with heater, chair, useful tables with rims to stop things falling off, and hand basin with hot and cold taps that was very handy. Good to be able to open window a little for fresh air. Doona was warm, and didn't need heater on through the night.
