Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe went on the all day 'One day Wetland Wonder Tour' which we enjoyed but felt it was overpriced and over promised - we were a bit disappointed having done activities like this before - it promised a bespoke tour which we did not get.
Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge is quite basic. It was a former cattle station and has been converted. It has a basic facilities with a bistro and bar and served breakfast, packed lunch and evening meals. Good pool, though watch for the vicious mosquitos! Great location for exploring Mary River.

AustraliaIt would have been good to have the air conditioner control available in our room - to adjust fan speed and temperature! There didn't appear to be one there.
The spacious room, verandahs to relax on, good bathroom, beautiful swimming pool, laundry facilities, the wilderness location, early check-in was possible and helped us a lot...

AustraliaMy mistake in not researching distance to Jabiru - so 1.5hr drive to Kakadu - not a big problem just a bit of time.
Quiet. Beautiful location. Enjoyed walk through rainforest, 4WD safari and river cruise.

AustraliaRoom and ensuite were fairly basic, but clean and comfortable. No cooking facilities in room, but BBQ area set up nearby.
Basic but good-sized room with ensuite. Great pool and a lovely rainforest walk next to the property. The saloon bar served good meals and added real character to this quite remote location. Enjoyed the Rockhole cruise, and seeing big crocs at the nearby Shady Camp lookout.

AustraliaWe wished the pool was bigger or had a water slide.
If you want to get away from it all, this is the place! We split our group between a lodge room and a tent, and everyone was very comfortable. The lodge rooms have AC, and the tent was well equipped with a fan and blankets so we were comfortable there. There is a small restaurant/bar that does delicious breakfasts and dinners, and the camp kitchens are large and well equipped if you want to self cater. There is a nice pool and a bouncing pillow to entertain the kids and several tours that are well worth the price.

AustraliaMosquito's! 2 days enough. We stayed 3.Not a point against accomodation however if you have flown in to Darwin and driven this is enough. If your fishing this wouldn't be the case.
Tours available were great. Food good value. Accomodation basic but good. Hit shower!

United StatesIf you are visiting Kakadu National Park you should know that this place is about an hour and a half from the main visitor center and all of the trailheads, even though it is technically only about 30 minutes from where you enter the park. There is also no wifi on site, although we at least had cell phone service in our room so we were able to use the internet via data.
Spacious and comfortable rooms with recently renovated bathroom. Pretty good price and there is a restaurant on site that serves very generous portions of the barramundi and is very good.

AustraliaOver priced for what it offered and we didn’t realise how far it was away from attractions in Kakadu. It was called a wilderness resort but we hadn’t taken the “wilderness” part of the name into consideration.
Self contained cabin, dinner was very good. Pool was clean and nice setting, although very remote

AustraliaWe loved the location, on the way back to Darwin from Kakadu, it was a great spot to unwind before hitting the city. There was a rainforest walk which was great, we also went to a crocodile viewing platform, great spot too. They offer a safari drive at sunset, it was so well worth it, allowing us to see a heap of animals that call the property home, highly recommended!1!

AustraliaThere isn't anything that comes to mind
It was so nice to me surrounded by nature and not have any tv or wi-fi for the 3 days we were there. We were able to enjoy the peace and quiet and relax. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The Saloon bar is a great service provided and it clear to see that the owners take pride and great care in maintaining the Lodge and the surrounds. We went on the night time safari and it was great. The staff know the area and are able to provide suggestions on what to do and where to go.

AustraliaThe meals were excellent and very reasonably priced. We went on the Mary River Wetlands Cruise and Elliott was a very informative guide. We loved the cruise and were lucky to see fresh and salt crocodiles, jabiru, eagle, whistling kites and many lillies and flowing lotus.

AustraliaNothing.
The breakfast was great, the location was a bit out of the way but well worth the extra travel. The place was an amazing three days that we spent there. Everything we wanted to see was a short drive away. They had tours and I highly recommend the sunset tour with a young man Elliot, that we went on his first tour. Plenty of laughs and a great adventure.

AustraliaThe resort is perfect for a short break in the amazing Mary River region. I did the guided fishing tour arranged by the lodge and as a family we did the afternoon wetland rivere cruise. both trips were excellent with great guides and i would give 10 out of 10 for both of them. The resort itself is pretty basic, but i think this is only to be expected given the location as it is in the middle of nowhere
