Check in was very easy as they shared the door code and left the key out as we were arriving late. The room was clean and comfortable. The free pancakes were great for breakfast.

Stayed here as a stop gap to break up our travelling and drive! We upgraded to a couple room bed was comfy shower and bathroom facilities in room were good and clean. Staff were lovely, pool looked good, kitchen big with lots of usually pots pans and amenities Friendly environment.

Even though the room was very nice and spacious I would have appreciated a box or something similar underneath the bed to put my stuff in. Otherwise great room!

Not far from city center : review update; We had a bad expérience but we were very happy that the owner responded very positive to us and we had several exchanges ( over the phone and via whattsapp ) and we were partially refunded. The building is quite old and there was a bit of noise during the night. There was not much light inside our room but for the price it was really worth it.

Everyone was very open and friendly! We felt really welcomed and comfortable in the shared spaces even though we only stayed for a night. They offered a special pizza deal in the evening and pancakes in the morning.

The property was clean, well maintained, easily accessed, and had good solid rules. Poor insulation. Be prepared to be chilly in winter.

I missed a few details to make life easier for the backpacker. I'll leave you with some suggestions that I've experienced in other hostels There could have been more sockets in the room or at least each bunk bed had its own There could be a curtain at the bottom of the bunk bed to give the room more privacy There could have been a lamp in the room so you didn't have to switch on the light. And more locker (at least one for each bed). In the kitchen, the fridge wasn't enough to store everyone's things, so it would be ideal to have another one. The tap in the kitchen could have a timer, instead of having to hold it down to use it.

The reception was very good! The bathroom and showers were clean.

The lighting in the female dorm was bright white light, could be improved by changing to a warmer light or giving each bunk a bedside light.

I loved the chilled vibes here so much I ended up extending my stay for a few days. PMB is a great place to take it easy and meet like-minded people. Ash and Callum are some of the friendliest hostel hosts I've come across in Aus to date - genuinely lovely and keen to help guests make the most of their stay here. Thank you for being so welcoming!
