Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOther guests commented that the hotel has free parking. I noticed that the comments and the hotel did not mention that parking fees are charged separately, so I booked this hotel. When I checked in, the hotel asked for a more expensive parking fee, which was added to the total accommodation fee. I didn't want to stay in this hotel at the time, but I still had to pay for the accommodation fee. I felt cheated by this hotel and it was very bad.
Breakfast is good.

AustraliaOur king bed was two singles put together, the beds were stiff and hard. The tv remote stop working after I turned the tv on, there was no parker when we came back from dinner despite paying for it. My wife had to walk nearly 2km in heels as it was the only parking spot we could find.
The room look nice

AustraliaThe only thing that was pricey was $30 per night for parking, but the room was very reasonably priced so all came out in the wash, really.
Absolutely loved our stay at QT in Canberra. It was the perfect distance between the ‘City’ and a quick drive or e-scooter ride to Parliament. The hotel itself was beautiful. Very comfy bed, room with great extras like a Dyson hair dryer and room with a view of the river (see picture). Highly recommend !!

AustraliaThe only downside would maybe be the construction outside however it wasn’t loud at all and if you use the back entrance to the hotel really not an inconvenience at all
The staff were amazing and had so much knowledge about Canberra and where to go or what to do. The parking was great being able to go in and out as you please and decently priced. We were amazing at what a bargain the hotel was and how stylish and new the rooms were. The breakfast was a full size meal and drink which couldn’t be beaten with the waiters being very attentive. The conceit he went above and beyond to help us celebrate our engagement and we felt like we were being looked after in every aspect.

AustraliaIt was overall disappointing as to what your pictures portrayed. Parking was inadequate for the size of the hotel. It was extremely noisy, even from our 4th floor room. I couldn’t eat the mince breakfast. It failed to match up to the hotel we stayed in 3 months prior which was $70 cheaper.
The room was clean and the staff was very polite

AustraliaRooms. Bathroom. Service.
This is essentially an overpriced Rydges despite carrying the QT brand name. Outdated rooms. Needs an upgrade. Bathroom was super tiny and a bad layout. Doesn’t have the charm and quirk of QT Sydney or Melbourne. Service should be improved especially at breakfast - waitstaff are slow (was not busy at all) & breakfast was disappointing.

The staff appeared indifferent and unwelcoming. The room's poor acoustics allowed conversations from the neighboring room to be clearly heard. The lobby felt overly dim, and the breakfast was underwhelming.

AustraliaAir conditioning wasn’t working properly. Strong smell of cleaning chemicals in the room along with the a/c problem kept me awake for much of the first night. Day two of our stay we reported the above. Staff member’s arrived at our room some time later to tell us we were being moved to another room (immediately) . We were just about to go out. Some prior communication of the change would been helpful. Overall it was quite a disappointment and surprising as we have stayed at or dined at QV venues on the past and expected better service and facilities.

I found cockroaches in the bathroom, then wasnt too fussed about it. After i fell asleep, while my husband was watching cricket, he found another cockroach on top of the blanket that i had on. It was walking. I got scared and called the receptionist. He was nice enough to change the room for me. But since it was on the same floor, i was too scared to fall asleep. This was annoying as I had to sleep on the car during the day so I could drive 7 hours to go back home. Safe to say am not coming back again.

AustraliaIt’s very noisy inside and out, the windows do not enough to restrict the noise from cars doing burnouts at night to the 7 am starting construction work just outside. Noise from corridor from other guests was loud as well.
Very convenient as summit was in same hotel Way into town was ok , although longer than it needed to be due to road closures and construction everywhere.

AustraliaThe room smelled super musty, to the point where I needed to keep the bathroom door shut and the smell was still irritating. The elevator was loud and kept me awake. The door to the adjoining room was also very thin and I could hear even quiet conversations next door. It didn’t feel very private.
The staff were lovely and the restaurant was nice.

AustraliaThe room was very small even I booked the junior suite. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable. The shower was very slow cannot enjoy a great shower after a long day. The breakfast is not a buffet breakfast but rather a a la carte, the food in the breakfast menu was way too fancy and way too much for a normal breakfast. The location of the hotel seems close to the CBD but really needed. 20 mins to walk. Male staff not so friendly when I asked a question about parking. Female staffs were all very friendly.
