Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaUnfortunately there was no sound proofing between rooms, it was incredibly loud overnight with people returning to their rooms and the noise of the lift. You could easily hear conversations in the next room.
A lovely hotel with friendly staff in a central location.

AustraliaBar staff and restaurant staff seemed very stressed. Not friendly or happy or welcoming. Reception staff were better but knew nothing about how to get around or even which direction to walk in when heading for the city.
Location was good, room was fine, breakfast was ok. It was all ok. Not great, not terrible.

AustraliaThere was rubbish that stayed in the floor by the lifts in the lobby for over 24 hours. Not a great. Other hotels (Ovolo) have free bikes to borrow and ride. Lacklustre greeting on arrival from reception staff. Bar staff grumpy and refused to make us a cocktail at 10pm when we arrived back after a student function with our daughter at ANU (Friday night, 7th Oct) Said it was ‘too late’ to order a Margurita. Would only offer wine or beer. Unusual behaviour from those who work behind a bar?

AustraliaWhen we checked in we were offered a 'Lake View' but instead got a low level room overlooking a vast flat concrete roof. Calling reception often went answered and then when finally answered I was told they were checking guests in. So, other guests already 'in' had to wait. Calling room service also went answered and/or put through to a mail box. Calling the front desk was the only way to order. Order took well over an hour to arrive and after complaining I was told the desk manager would be bringing the order up himself. Despite ordering two meals there was one set of cutlery and one napkin. The kettle in the room didn't work. I'm sorry to report this as I had high expectations of QT, having recently stayed in the QT Newcastle which was excellent. QT also charge $20 to park in their own underground carpark.
The bed was large and comfortable.

AustraliaThe QT’s prices have gone up a lot lately - I do not feel that 350 a night was good value for what as got. The hotel does not have many facilities and the room is nothing special. Parking was extra, as was breakfast. Our bathroom fan would not turn off and was very noisy. The water pressure was so low I couldn’t get the shampoo out of my hair.
Central location, great lobby area.

AustraliaSOME breakfast staff need more training in terms of behaviour...talking and laughing within earshot of customers. This I think shows that there is really a shortage of staff in the hospitality industry.

AustraliaWe are 2 parents with 2 kids aged 15 & 13. We had a lovely large comfy bed but the kids had a tiny sofa bed to share that had a very old and thin mattress that when lying on all you could feel was the springs sticking into your body like torture quite honestly. For the money being charged per night that is outrageous as we were happy to pay for a lovely hotel but that really took all the shine off our stay. The hotel did provide another single bed but my son still had to have 4 nights of discomfort. Everyone at hotel lovely and they appeared to do what they could so no complaints there. Please just stop doing that to family groups paying for good nights sleep please as it’s not fair or reasonable to do so. Thanks Chris
Tbh everything was good apart from one issue which needs to be resolved for future travelers.
