The rooms do not match the level of the lobby - there's an opulent feel on entry to the hotel, but on arrival at the rooms upstairs, you are greeted with tired generic rooms. I have stayed at the QT in Perth and was very disappointed in Canberra. There was also a lack of parking, considering you are charged for this. We watched numerous people enter and leave the car pack, which seemed to be full from people attending a function rather than guests.

The beds are comfortable, and the location is very good - close to everything in the city.

The bathroom was very tired and looked grubby. It could certainly do with upgrading. We stayed in for dinner in the restaurant. The bottle of red wine was served cold and I did not think the food was good value. Steaks were very small for the price

It was a construction site. I couldn't get a meal at in the restaurant as the staff told me they were full. They weren't. I ordered a Minute steak and chips, got served two serves of chips, and it cost $61. The extra chips were $20. But even so, $41 for a Minute Steak, nothing else but chips, is ridiculous.

Parking on site is charged extra and options of street parking are limited. Waited a while for have breakfast when I was running late because staff was chatting and not paying attention at the door and when we sat they asked us to move to another as they prefer to keep everyone sitting close together.

Noise. Unfortunately road works outside on our side of the building went on through the night from 8.pm to 6.am. There was constant jackhammering which kept us awake all night. As the hotel knew this was happening we believe we should have been advised as to make different arrangements or at least given a room on the other side of the building away from the noise.

Breakfast, staff were confused, coffee took 20 min and it was not busy, then the order was wrong. Checkout - trying to checkout 2 different guests at the same time. Poor attention to detail.

Water pressure was bad, not enough power points, light in cupboard doesn't turn off exhaust fan in bathrooms with no switch it starts all night but turns off and on randomly, shower screen to short has no door and the water runs out on the floor mini bar was full of alcohol can't fix own stuff in the fridge no real coffee only pods no instructions on how to use fancy coffee pod machines, room service menu was crap and restaurant down stairs food was too fancy for my taste plus very expensive $30 per day for parking is ridiculous for paying hotel guests plus all the construction outside the hotels. Our view was the construction site

The staff could have been more forthcoming with information. The rooms were pretty standard, nothing exciting. Disappointed I could hear everything in the hallway.

Unfortunately for the property there is a lot of road works surrounding it, and the construction work continued all Saturday and commenced very early on Sunday morning (6am). It was very different to even find the entrance. The room was very average, needed a good lick of paint, decor was old and not relaxing to look it. The bed so soft it was uncomfortable and lumpy.

The property had both good and poor elements. Food and beverage was good and the bar, dining areas very appealing. Venue was great for hosting events.

I recently stayed at this motel, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. First off, there were building works happening across the road throughout the night. The noise made it nearly impossible to get any sleep. Adding to the frustration, the breakfast was genuinely horrible. The salmon and eggs were served cold, which was not only unappetizing but also a sign of poor kitchen management. Parking was another issue—$30 for an overpriced spot that didn’t feel justified by the service or location. To top it off, I had to switch rooms because the heater in my initial room wouldn’t turn off. This was an inconvenience I didn’t need after a long day. Even the small things went wrong—like when the waitress got my coffee order wrong. It’s amazing how a series of bad experiences can ruin an entire day. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this motel. The combination of noise, poor food, and subpar service made for a stay I would rather forget.

The mattress was too soft and uncomfortable! The bathroom was not clean perfectly! And I paid for the buffet breakfast with room but they offered a limited menu to choose one and even they charged us for morning cappuccino! Some of the staff were not friendly and welcoming!

The location was good but there were road construction around the hotel which we couldn’t consider where we are without map!
