AustraliaThere's construction happening around the hotel, without adequate signs of how to enter, and there's no separate pedestrian access that's clearly laid out, and no lighting around the construction/entryway at night. The aircon in our room didn't work and when we called reception they told us to open the balcony door, and they'd send someone to fix it while we're out. We got back really late at night, the aircon wasn't fixed, and when we checked out the next morning the morning staff at reception weren't aware of the issue.
Other than the construction and broken aircon, it was alright. The room had 2 bathrooms which was great.

AustraliaStaff were extremely unprepared and inexperienced. We waited for 25 mins to get checked in - there were two staff working and only 3 or 4 people ahead of us, it shouldn't have taken this long at all. The staff member who checked us in repeated things like the WiFi details and asking if we needed more than one carpark, but neglected to tell us what floor our room was on, and insisted on processing our booking (two rooms) as two separate transactions. The hotel bar wouldn't serve us cocktails at 10pm on a Saturday "because it was too late at night". The bar was not full and there were three bartenders working. On checkout, this process took almost 20 mins, as the staff member had incorrectly overcharged me by $27 for each room. I don't understand how the price hadn't come straight through with the Booking.com transaction. The staff member initially tried to justify the additional cost as a credit card booking fee, and I had to challenge this. Communication about how and when the refund would be processed was unclear and I was concerned about whether I would receive the funds. Will not be recommending QT or staying there again.

AustraliaA few minor issues. The gym was about a 8 min walk from the hotel and you need to ask the staff for a pass which you can scan at the Club Lime entry. It’s a little confusing but manageable, and the Club Lime gyms are quite nice and way better than the usual hotel gym, so probably worth the walk. The main ceiling light and one bedside light did not work but I still had other light sources which sufficed. The bathroom was clean but the shower was a little grimy. I think the tiles could have done with a clean, mainly just the grout. I only stayed one night so I just didn’t use the shower. Now, the room service could have just been a one off but I found it to be quite flavourless unfortunately. I ordered the ‘Our Green Bowl’ and just expected a little more love rather than cold falafel from a packet. Im sure the actual restaurant at the QT hotel is better.
Beautiful and quirky lobby, typical of the QT brand. Helpful and friendly staff. Big room with complimentary T2 tea and Nescafe pod coffee. Dyson hair drier in room and Dyson straighter upon request. Nice big balcony in my room, although view of construction site during the time of my stay. Comfortable bed with crisp white bed linen.
