How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Music in reception was a bit off-putting as I could barely hear the reception staff member. Lighting was also so dark!
Lovely room and made to feel very welcome. It was for a birthday.

We love staying at the QT. It’s funky, quirky, clean, and very comfortable. Our room was spacious and quiet and the upstairs bar is an added bonus. The staff and security are 10/10! We will be back!

Couldn’t find prices for the mini bar/fridge selection
The location is amazing easy to walk to everything. The staff are amazing super friendly. The room was so comfy with excellent facilities!

Second time I have stayed at this property and both times the roof top bar was not available to guests.
Love the new contemporary look and feel. Spacious rooms. Nice restaurant located on level 1.

Would prefer the bar to have priority for guests and the room was clean but just a little shabbby where its worn in. Only a small point but for the cost I would expect it to feel 100% (worn bedside table and dust on the drop lights)

The bar upstairs needs a reset. Bar Staff were inept, totally not understanding the payment system and consistently putting drinks through incorrectly - I watched while a guy was charged $78 for a beer and then told a refund would take 2 weeks because of their system. Chicken was undercooked… basically, the upstairs bar was a mess.
Great rooms great hotel staff… the bar staff however…

The gym is very small. I believe there are options provided to attend a gym nearby the hotel, however that is not always convenient - especially if it means heading out of the hotel late at night.
QT Melbourne is such a beautiful property, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room is well appointed and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom, too. Honestly, the room itself was as good as you'll find. We just wish we could have stayed in Melbourne longer to enjoy this room.

This is the third trip in a row where the rooftop bar was out of action due to private functions (2 of my 3 days!). The rooftop bar is such a draw card for me when choosing the QT so will start to consider other options. We even had to exit the Bar on L1 for another private function midway through our drink. So disappointing. I would also love for it to be open for lunch so you can sit up there during the day.
I really love the location and style of the QT. Staff are generally amazing.
