Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaOur initial room (519) was very small. Not really enough size for two adults to live around comfortably. The room is located next to the fire stairs which impacted the overall size of the room. When I asked at reception to move rooms it was no problem and the staff member was very helpful. Room 615 was a lovely room.

AustraliaNo complementary water on arrival. People travel for hours for an interstate trip, water would be a nice (inexpensive) touch. Breakfast on the last day was very frustrating. We approached the greeting point and observed a young man biting his nails and standing over the till. He was delighted to tell us breakfast was included (this was our third day, we knew what we’d added to our stay already) and asked if we had any table preference. We were seated and offered a drink by another person. After that we observed others being seated and served, lots of chatting at the till, mobile phones oout, check the footage QT trainers. We were very frustrated as we had a time restraint. Still no one came. In the end my husband had to walk over to the drinks hub where there were 4 staff facing away from the dining area. He informed them we were ready to order. Simone rushed over to take our order. Even that was a problem. The kitchen “rule” was that poached eggs could not be ordered with the farmhouse breakfast. Yet they were able to swap out meat at my request. We were served at a snails pace by the young man who had forgotten us with a passive aggressive attitude and plonked down the plates, no civil ‘apologies about the delay this morning and please enjoy your meal.’ We waiting again for a long time whilst others who came after us had finished and left the dining room. Again, no one came to clear the plates or offer us a coffee, we left eventually and asked for coffees to be bought to our room due to the wait time. The dining room was not busy, the wait staff apologised and told us the young man was ‘training.’ Coffee was delivered 15 minutes later to our room. Again apologies, we were informed the young man had been told to ‘concentrate on the computer learning and not to prioritise the dining room?!’ May I suggest the computer course is moved away from the customer service area and not done at the expense of the hotel guest’s experience of service?
Welcoming reception staff, kindly relocated us to a larger room with a bath when we were disappointed with the smaller room we were initially given.

I love the vibe...the position in Melbourne is the best. You can easily walk to the Theatres, many great restaurants, shopping. The staff are lovely. Friendly and definitely not stuffy. The greeting when you pull up outside with your car is always the best from the guys at the front door. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The double glazed double windows block out all the city noise. Makes for a great nights sleep. Have stayed many times and keep coming back.
