my wife left a toiletry bag in the bathroom which, magically, was not returned to us. not sure why cleaning staff can’t hand in something obvious to reception so that we could get it back.

Breakfast a little of the low side, although adequate. Location of the place not that convenient - few taxis, no ubers, but the staff were able to fix us up with someone willing to do transfers.

Clean, friendly, fairly good breakfast. Bath room great size and well stocked. Rooms a good size and beds comfy. A great stocked mini bar with wines from the region, plus waters and juices - at okay prices.

The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I was slanting on one side and the middle was rock hard, we advised the hotel it was my partners birthday and they couldn’t prove complimentary anything for my partner’s birthday which has never happened. We have been to many many places and always at least been offered a beverage. I even reached out personally to ask if they could set up a balloon but this wasn’t possible unless I upgraded. There was a build up of lots of grime and soap scum in the corner of the shower, balcony was a view of the car park and first levels outside area is practically in the car park, you can also see everyone on the balcony. You can also hear everything and everyone when you walk down the hallway and out on the balcony. For the price I paid, I don’t think it was worth the money.

The service was great, staff were super friendly! It was great having a restaurant next door but you do have to both over a month in advance to get a reservation. The breakfast had great options on the menu and was also next door!

Breakfast was included in the package that we bought, however in the morning when we went to the restaurant they said that we were just allowed to have for the 2 of us, 1 hot meal (eggs / bacon / bread etc) + 1 cold meal (yogurt / fuit / etc).... so even though my partner wanted a hot meal too, he had to eat a cold one, as I already picked the hot one. that's no fair, as that info wasn't specified when we booked.

We arrived early but were meeting friends there, so absolutely no problem not being able to check in- however I asked to use the bathroom to be told there was none, and to walk to the public toilets- which were disgusting, derelict building without a soap dispenser. 20 minutes later when friends arrived they were able to check in and in going to their room we passed many empty rooms- how easy it would have been to allow me to use one of those bathrooms? We had one teabag available in a double room during our stay when the restaurant wasn't open and had breakfast booked in for after 9am. (we paid for an upgrade and didn't even have a cup of tea each for the pleasure.) There was no buffet had to order an item off the menu which was honestly the worst breakfast I have ever eaten from any eatery. It was small and cold. Mistakenly called the full breakfast. If we had time to complain and reorder we would have. And to have to pay extra for coffee as part of our breakfast is something I've never experienced. I thought there were criteria that accommodation has to fill to gain 4 star status and I can't see how this experience warrants that. The acclaimed restaurant wasn't open during our stay so no other food options.

Breakfast started quite late (7.30am) and the single beds weren’t the best quality (king bed split).

Wish they had slippers for guests and the jug needed a good clean and the bar fridge was a bit small and seemed to be overheating in the cupboard- since the location is a bit remote it would be good to have a decent bar fridge you put items especially in summer
