Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There is nothing that I did not like. There is no restaurant in the building but several cafes with easy walking distance.
This is an apartment hotel, my room was a studio with a balcony on the sixth floor. The studio is small but for a single person had enough space to never feel cramped. The rooms are well designed in the layout with a wardrobe and small desk as well as a kitchen and dining area with cooking pans, plate, utensils to make regular meals. The bathroom has a shower and nice vanity and again well designed with plenty of light. A free laundry area is available on the first floor as well as a gym. Staff are very helpful. Wi-fi was excellent. The hotel is walking distance to the CBD and popular Smith Street restaurants and nightlife as well as Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens.

One little thing..the pillows too high and hard. Even the spare ones we were kindly given just weren’t comfortable. Just personal preference but would still definitely stay here again.
Perfect location. Facilities were modern and clean. Excellent customer service from staff members. We really enjoyed our stay.

as i was working from the hotel, i could have done with a rectangular shaped and slightly larger desk rather than the small round dining table, but i managed just fine and the chairs were comfortable.
Kitchen was very well equipped for an apartment hotel, spacious and extremely well decorated with well designed furniture, two large screens, balcony etc.

It would be nice to have some kind of communal area downstairs e.g. a meeting place to have coffee. I had noisy neighbours on the last evening with whom I had to have a word at 2 am in the morning. That was disappointing.
The staff were great. They remembered guests names and made sure to follow up on requests. The hotel was very clean e.g. my room, the corridors, the business room etc.

There was nothing that we didn't like about the stay.
Location was perfect as we had a Xmas breakup party at the Stomping ground just around the corner. This made for a short walk after the celebration. Just a great location.

Easy check in and out. Great location. All what we had expected. Elizabeth at the front counter was incredibly friendly, flexible and helpful. Loved the cafe recommendations and flex with check out.

The parking was difficult in a large car to get into and out of due to the steep angle and narrow space. The bed was also little bit too hard

Nothing - it’s the best places I’ve stayed for a long time and I travel a great deal.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location for my meetings in Collingwood but also east to get to CBD by regular trams. Rooms are very well equipped with small but well provisioned kitchen.
