Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaGot charged an extra $4.16 as I used a credit card to pay for the room and wasn't made aware of this extra charge. The lady at check in went through all the charges room, car parking and deposit for damage to room which is returned if room is left in good order but didn't mention the credit card charge. Only noticed it after check out when they emailed the receipt. By law customers need to be made aware of this extra charge.
Room was large with cooking facilities with king sized bed and located right in centre of town so walking distance to eateries and shops

AustraliaThe hotel charges a $150 security deposit, which is actually held until a couple of days after check out - a super outdated practice in my opinion. We were also accidentally overcharged due to an incorrect room rate in the system, leading to the hotel holding on to over $500 for a $250 standard room for several days.
