The digital door was not always easy and relies upon travellers having a working mobile.

Superb newly updated shower room. Location to town centre and attractions. A car isn't required.

Only one armchair in the room… minor problem though. No staff on reception - you let yourself in with codes for front door and bedroom - this worked fine but it’s always nice to see a human on arrival somewhere new!

Modern facilities in an old classic building. Very good location for the river and central Launceston. The street is very pretty architecturally. Comfortable room and nice big bathroom. All very clean and beautifully presented. Simple breakfast provided. Free car parking available behind the house.

Brekkie was a bit sparse even for a continental brekkie- supplies were low - only a glass and a half of fruit juice; milk was turning - house keeper very apologetic - it was well within used by date but there was not another bottle to to replace it with.

The fact that this is in Australia and the host could not speak english and had to do any translation by a phone. I do not think this is a very good situation to be in. They were pleasant but difficult to communicate with. Very disappointed. I had a problem with the Air condition but couldnt get him to understand - makes things difficult. The bed linen was very worn looking - certainly not new.

THE INCLUDED BREAKFAST WAS AVERAGE, MOST THINGS STALE. WE ALSO HAD A ROOM ONE METER FROM THE FRONT DOOR WHICH WASN'T IDEAL.

BATHROOMS WERE GREAT, BEDROOM WAS NICE AND THE LOCATION WAS GREAT TO WALK TO ATTRACTIONS AND RESTURANTS. FREE PARKING TOO - A BIG BONUS.

Not enough toilet paper and tissue provided for the amount we stay for. Also the pillow were not firm enough, way to soft.

It felt like it was newly renovated, very clean, excellent location. Nice and quiet at night, even though it is in the CBD area. Extremely convenient location, just a short walk to all the attractions.

A minor point - tea bags in the room were stored in the same jar, so they all smelled like the herbal ones.

Comfortable shared living area. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast well stocked but could do with something a little more adventurous.

Nothing didn't like. I did make a hot chocolate in downstairs area once we arrived, a lady came out and wasn't sure if she was saying I couldn't???

Smelt of cabbage when we arrived - turned out it was the owners eating their food. We were on the bottom floor and whomever was above us was very loud and sounded like the ceiling was going to gave in. The bed was quite firm with only a doona, not like the traditional hotels/apartment bedding. The owners speak very little English but they were very friendly.

It was a basic breakfast of bread (toast, crumpets) and cereal (only type of bread was multigrain though). They had a coffee pod machine but I didn't know what pods were what and unfortunately the one I picked was not nice. However, in the bedroom was a kettle and coffee/tea bags and bar sized fridge. The bathroom was big and beautiful.

You can go an entire stay and not see others, staff or guests.

The property is in a convenient location and the operators seem to care about being responsive.
