Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe car parking is a little tight and they only have 3 parking spaces, however there was enough parking for the time we were there. The beds are hard and very uncomfortable. There was no top sheet and just a doona.
Refresh 109 is in a great location, it's right in the city and you can walk to everything from, the gorge, shops, breweries, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was good with a selection of cereals, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, bread and coffee.

AustraliaThere was nothing i didn’t like. The property met all my expectations. The door entry was easy, the shower was great.
The breakfast was very simple, there was a variety of cereals available, a coffee machine for coffee and toast option, with yogurt in the fridge.

AustraliaPoor quality bed linen and pillows. Metal bed head and bedside table unit, so noisy when anything is put on it eg cup or phone etc. No English spoken and no staff around. I looked for someone and eventually communicated via Google translate which worked.
The quiet location. Spotless everywhere! New spacious bathroom with twin sinks and heat lamps. Huge bedroom. Comfortable mattress. There was a simple continental breakfast available. Communication prior to arrival via message was excellent and helpful in terms of restaurants etc.

AustraliaThe room is in a small building in a good location . There are codes to allow you to access the main door and your room door each time . The room was quite warm and the aircon was needed as you couldn’t open a window . There is a light continental breakfast self served in a breakfast room .

New ZealandCheck-in process not very customer-friendly. We arrived and stood in front of closed doors, called the manager, he said he had sent a message with info on how to get into the hotel. Found it later in emails, it was sent on the day of arrival - but I don't check emails while driving... Thus the info was sent by SMS. We got separate longish access codes for the front door and for our room door, it worked at some point - but you needed to look it up on the phone every time we left the room or the hotel. I found this quite annoying. Once in the building, no manager in sight. They seemed to hide behind the curtains and kind of secretly checked what we did. The same in the breakfast room where a buffet was set up. No-one there to ask a question. Parking was behind the building on barely marked parking spaces, info could also be found in the SMS. No help to heave the suitcases up the stairs as the manager was in hiding. Totally strange behaviour I did not appreciate. While it would be ok to send check-in info when really no-one is present at the reception, I find it inappropriate when the manager is there but obviously doesn't want to welcome guests.
Fantastic location, quiet street, very close to the very city centre, walking distance, free parking. Hotel in a splendid-looking historic building. Very large and beautiful new bathroom, very stylish.

AustraliaContinental breakfast wasn’t exactly continental, if you get up late, unlikely you will get toasts as they weren’t refilled. Make sure you wake up early to get breakfast in if you just want some simple toasts and fruits.
It was convenient and the room was clean and equipped with all essentials and loved the spacious bathroom.

AustraliaWe were given a room at the top of a few flights of stairs which is difficult if you're senior in age. The breakfast was very limited and a couple of the bread items had mould which I did read on another review before booking, hoping it was a one off. The bed sheets were clean but well used and bed uncomfortable for us.
A nicely renovated heritage property. Room was spacious and nice bathroom.
