Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A few basic maintenance things would improve the property, but I am sure David will sort those out. - no matches, kindling or gas in gas lighter. The bed was very firm - but others liked it.
Easy access and perfect location when attending a funeral at Springvale Cemetery. the nibbles - chocolates, chips etc were a nice surprise. Was able to light a nice wood fire. Heaps of space for 2 couples to spread out. Huge television! Fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher.

I may call it "too much". Might be better if we make something less. I believe you should go with another families together. (better 6-8 ppl) It would be brilliant choice for family gathering or holding a party. (But we can't ^_^) Cleanliness of folks/knives in the kitchen might need some improvement.
Very big house, pretty comfy bed and bedding clothes old-fashion, well designed and maintained. Everything is good for our stay except for it's too big. The yard behind is also designed and equiped for more. We like it.

We found a dirty noodle bowl in a drawer. We couldn't plug in or use the fire which we would have loved as no wood or extension card for the plug, but I guess it is supplied during winter only.
The place was enormous. There was fantastic and plentiful breakfast supplies left and also instant noodles. Really great. I totally recommend this place. Within walking distance of a shopping centre.

I loved everything about this place. The location is perfect, the house is the cleanest I have stayed in, and the added touches such as the chocolate, beer, biscuits etc were very much appreciated. I highly recommend this place.

We were missing some patio furniture but its a minor detail. Also a BBQ would be an idea. It would be nice if there was i little info of what is to see and do in the area.
Everything was great, host(s) was super helpfull and attentive. Your home away from home :) There was plemty of breakfast, teas and coffees, lollies at arrival (weee!), nice lounge area, bedrooms had a good size. Loved the lemontree in the backyard. The chili is not for beginners!!! There is a garage for your car that leads to the patio area.

Too goood to be true ! Fantastic experience. Never had such a luxury unit in my past bookings. Everything was exactly as in the online infact much better. Thoughtful n gracious host. Kitchen design was brilliant, compact and had everything one needs. Beds were king size and comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean and hygienic. Nice pergola. Thank you David, we all had a comfortable cozy relaxing long stay. Will return soon.

It was a big, spacious and elegant property. We had a relaxing time. Host was gracious, professional and helpful. Thanks for the well stocked kitchen and fridge. Ample parking space for our cars. The location was very convenient and walkable to the big Waverley gardens shopping mall. Beautiful rose garden too. Very pretty. Would say it's the premium unit among the many in Melbourne I stayed so far. Will return next time for sure.
