    • Two-Bedroom Tower Apartment - Unserviced

property is 15min walk to Cairns CBD or short bus ride. New wing of Cairns hospital is being built right next door so construction noise was evident during the weekdays. although there are 3 swimming pools, they all just felt like a backyard pool. there are no pool bars / cabanas so you don’t get that type of tropical holiday feeling.

great, unobstructed, outlook onto the bay. the property is about 15min walk into the cairns CBD. opposite the skate park and beach volley ball courts and very close to Muddy’s Cafe and the surrounding playground. was one of the few properties in Cairns that had a large enough apartment room for 5-6ppl. Excellent value.

I specifically chose this hotel because of the fitness facilities l read about and was very disappointed to find that the fitness room was closed. Can’t blame covid anymore as all gyms have reopened. In its place was a small stuffy room with a few thrown in items to use. Obviously this was a major disappointment for me and my requirements.

The hotel was great with everything you expect from a Rydges hotel. Good rooms, service, high standards but with one big problem for me ….

At first, toilet roll holder and soap dish were hanging off the walls; one ceiling down light was blown; sliding door handle to balcony was loose; one bedside lamp was missing - BUT - after informing reception, all issues were fixed WITHIN 90 MINUTES. Excellent service by in-house maintenance.

Just a short walk to both the Esplanade with its dozens of restaurants and cafes and to the city centre; room overlooked the bay - fabulous view; both in-house dining and room service VERY reasonably priced; excellent buffet breakfasts; all staff - from reception to wait staff to housekeeping - always cheery and smiling.
