Wait staff in the restaurant did become confused after several of us from different rooms attended for a meal, and all sat at the one table. this seemed to overwhelm some of the staff.

Location, suited our needs. We were there for 6 days and had our wedding ceremony and reception there and we can not fault any of the staff, food or accommodation.

Lift a bit slow. Amenity was only soap, shampoo. I wanted have more tea bags. Only one English tea bag and many Earl grey.

I like this location, it's a bit north from esplanade but not too far. Easy to check-in, staff kind.

Too far from the centre. Only had a jug in the room. We prefer apartments. We can't go out all the time for meals.

I requested our room to be ready early after 10am, we had to wait around until 2pm then found out the housekeeping come around about 7.30~8am??? We were on the second floor & it was quite noisy. The property is dated it is looking old, needs to be upgraded to be value for money. Dinners were expensive & not enough staff to serve, forced to wait ages for drinks.

The smoking allowed on the balcony, the toilet seat really needed replacing (the plastic on the seat was pealing), there also, was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The air-conditioner had no temperature control & there was no heating with 2 thin blankets in the wardrobe.

Ridiculously expensive laundry facilities, no soap/ shampoo, no list of local places to get food, had to ask for a Brekky menu and a green no service tag rather than find them in the room, no where to dump excess rubbish even though there was a note that extra charge would apply for too much rubbish

The room was not very clean. Bathroom had mould on the ceiling and walls. A big hole was in the wall under the bathroom sink. Carpet was worn and when we turned the fan on it tripped the power and the room lost all power. The staff knew this was a problem! Only 1 of 3 lifts were working for most of our stay, so they took ages. Room service food delivered in a paper box with wooden cutlery. Holes in the bathroom towels. It was really disappointing. I will not stay there again. Ridges generally have a good reputation, but not this one.

Very dated generally, old smelly carpets, no individual aircon for room, very dated bathroom. Very poor service- had to wait almost an hour for a blanket. Very noisy - rooms in the 4th floor exposed to lots of noise from the bar, and lots of yelling from the street. Zero noise insulation. Possibly worst value for money we had in the past 5 years.

It felt like a lot of things added up. I didnt like paying $275 per room for 1 thin pillow and having to ask twice for another pillow We were on a floor wiith subsidised housing where the people were drunk resulting in the police coming one night The gym was a few treadmills - all other facilities like spa and sauna closed dowm Tennis courts had a black algae on the courts resulting in us falling down. Also given water logged tennis balls.

Lighting in room was poor. Layout in family room with bunks meant no air con for kids- we had to drag mattresses out to floor every night. Kids beds had no top sheets- so they only had option of blanket. Lost power in room overnight. Was fixed the following day without apology. Swelter overnight without fan. Outdoor/pool area, bar/restaurant dated- and lacked atmosphere. Breakfast was the most boring buffet breakfast I’ve had at any Rydges.

The bathroom facilities were rusted and old. The car park was confusing and the booms broken. The menu at the restaurant was poor and in the morning, they didn't have takeaway coffee. The pool deck was being repainted and so there was limited access.

Pool was cold. Not swimable for June. So disappointing when we really felt like a day by the pool. We are not precious, everyone we spoke to felt the same. WiFi didn't work. Room and hotel are dated.

Staff were friendly and helpful and it was a good location.
