Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe weather! 😬😂. No one’s fault, obviously.
Staff was very helpful when one of our tours fell apart. Tia made it so we could see Uluru at sunrise before we had to go to the airport. Without her we would have missed seeing the rock! Everyone was pleasant, helpful, and facility was clean and we had good food.

AustraliaDining options could be improved significantly. Simpler menu options. $48 per person for breakfast is extreme. Pool Bistro/Bar could offer simple sandwiches/burgers/fries. It has the same menu as the restaurant which was a little disappointing. Thank goodness for the Gecko & Kalulta Cafes.

New ZealandA more varied menu. As older guests there was no way we could eat $89 dollars' worth of food at the buffet. The Bar area service was so slow that e froze in the less than comfortable temperature. As a consequence we opted to eat out in the village
Room was comfortable. Food was very expensive. Dining room service was extremely slow

AustraliaThe staff could have been a bit better in their customer relations. For example, we ordered a glass of wine to have with our dinner but it arrived after our meal (after two follow up requests). There were insufficient staff at the breakfast buffet and we had to get up to ask for coffee and the table wasn't cleared very promptly (we moved our dirty dishes to another table).
The room was very clean and comfortable. it had everything we needed for our stay. The buffet dinner at Sails was fantastic and a great variety of food. The pool and pool bar area was also clean and enjoyable.

AustraliaThe swimming pool is not heated and the water was freezing (visited in September - nights are still very cold).
I liked the size of the rooms and the balcony with the view of Uluru. The breakfast options were great. My son liked the activities for kids.

AustraliaOur room was not ready and we eventually got into the room almost 2hrs past the anticipated check in time. It was somewhat ameliorated by the offer to use the pool and 2 complimentary drinks. The in room milk/coffee/tea supplies could have been better.
The resort was lovely. Big rooms. Pool was great. Decor was good. Cafe was good.

United KingdomI would have preferred a room looking in on the pool area we had a service road , which wasn’t busy, as our balcony outlook
It has a very good reputation in the resort at Uluru. Dinner by the pool was lovely with attentive staff.

AustraliaThe pool was so cold, not enjoyable or refreshing which is a shame after coming back super hot from exploring. It would also be great if they made it easier to support the local indigenous artists somehow. Their artwork is amazing but it's almost impossible to get cash out locally.
The staff were great and location was so convenient. The room was modern and clean. Also loved the grounds and loungers around the pool - such a great way to enjoy the afternoon breeze.

United StatesThey seemed to be understaffed. Our room was not available until after 3 pm. The restaurant had trouble providing food. The wait for food was 45 minutes. Everyone was trying, but the kitchen seemed overwhelmed. We started walking to the town center and using the restaurants there to avoid the wait.
The Red Center is an amazing location. This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were large and well supplied. It was unexpectedly hot, so we spent many afternoons in their pool.

AustraliaI think it was generally too expensive. It was over $600 a night for a basic room and breakfast wasnt even included. I said it should be for that price but they didnt budge and said we'd have to pay $48 extra for breakfast which would be $192 a day for my family of 4 or $600 for 3 days breakfast. Fortunately its located close to other cafe's in the town centre that were a lot more affordable.
Nice hotel with a nice pool but it was a little too cold for my liking. I think they must chill it as it was high 30's but the pool was very cold. Restaurant and staff were all very nice.

New ZealandRestaurants and room service were over priced. Poor service at Waḻpa Bar. Had to wait an hour for two burgers and ordered dessert but it was never served. The buffet breakfast should offer continental breakfast only as an option. The restaurants should be more geared around timing of sunrise and sunset viewings. Room was greatly over priced for tired looking decor.
Comfortable beds.
