Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaHotel at corner of street light & crossing. Point is, you will hear the tik tik tik tik tik of Melbourne street light whole night and screams from street. My sleep was disturbed through out 6 days I stayed. I needed to wake up early one particular day, they denied, can’t help. Owner is not helpful at all.
Staff. Mostly students working there but they are very helpful. Shreya was helpful and great at making things comfortable.

AustraliaAfter hours access if reception doors closed. Breakfast included ot food but often there was not any available
Easy to find, check in and out easy, rooms serviced daily and towels changed daily. As a genius rated client I was upgraded and had breakfast included. Only a relatively short walk to trams and trains, including free city circle tram. Although on a major city road, traffic noise not really a problem.

AustraliaThe beds were a bit too soft and sinking. The bathroom light/fan made a lot of noise and drove me insane while showering. The breakfast didn't have many options and didn't start at 6 am like it said on the sign. They made photocopies of our ID and Debit Card, idk if that is normal or not. Was also right on the corner of 2 streets so there was a lot of noise, plus stagg seemed to always be cleaning so the supplies were in the small elevator. The elevator made me feel like we were in a horror movie, but it actually worked fine.
Good for what it was worth. The aircon was great, and we were able to check in a little bit early. Breakfast was only $16 per person. Staff were polite and nice.

AustraliaQuite tired & worn-out. Bed was clean but everything else felt grubby. Free wifi is only for 2 hours, then you had to pay. In the end I couldn`t get it to connect so I gave up. a lot of the free to air channels didn`t work, no milk for coffee. Window above bedhead jammed slightly open so smells from the street and people urinating and fighting in the street/alley below could be heard all night. Surrounding strip clubs make the area feel seedy and unsafe. Hotel is okay for the price if you just want to crash after the football but there are others in the city at the same price that are better.
Close to everything, soft comfortable bed.

AustraliaBuilding was old but a lot of Melbourne buildings are old too. But compared to other buildings from the same era, Sophia has good interior design
Location was perfect. Minutes walk away from Southern Cross bus terminal. Easy to catch skybus to and from the airport. Staff are friendly!

IrelandThe hot breakfast was limited and not available on occasion, the WiFi was poor and difficult to use, the room was not made up when requested or partially made up and on one occasion no clean towell provided, on two occasions there was no out of hours front desk help and on one of those occasions no response to repeated visits for WiFi help, on the first day no breakfast at all until 7 when breakfast room meant to open at 6.
The price and location were good and staff tried to solve problems.

AustraliaThe cleaner/room service didn't make the beds up, just replaced our used towels (considering the price per night, I would have expected the rooms to be better serviced for our stay).
Great location in Melbourne. Comfy bed.

AustraliaWith the facilities in the room, was reported on the first day we were there and was not fixed. Breakfast facilities were poor as the readiness of the food and service provided left a lot to be desired.
The property was close to the CBD. The helpful staff member was the one that attended to overnight stayers and she outshine the management of the place.

AustraliaThe only down side to the hotel was the incredibly slow wifi, it took about 3 minutes to download maps and was not able to live stream at all. (better wifi outside the building with public access via Vic wifi)
Great location, and an extremely comfortable bed with crispy clean linen and heaps of good pillows. The room was nice and clean and serviced regularly. Having a free breakfast was great to start the day.

AustraliaI stayed in the master room, and the lighting was very poor and annoying. The furnishings were quite outdated. There was only one sink in the bathroom, so if you needed to wash your glasses, you had to go to the bathroom, which surprised me – although I'm not sure if that's normal.
It was very close to CBD just couple of minutes by walk

AustraliaBathroom needed some minor repairs e.g. toilet roll holder not attached to wall properly, shower leaked after a few minutes. The bed was comfortable but was on wheels so it moved around when you sat on it or got in and out!
Check in staff were polite but to the point (efficient!). Cost and location were good.
