Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis hotel was excellent, lovely staff, spacious room with a whole area for tea and coffee, and is well located. 👌 The only dislike i had was... the shower doesn't have and requires a slide door as the entire room ends up bring soaked in water and becomes a slipping hazard.. all in all I had a great stay.

AustraliaVery convenient hotel just a short tram ride from the arts precinct. Great size room for the price - also would recommended the city stay package with wine, breakfast, parking and late check out! Good quality breakfast with plenty of options, and a nice cafe/bar at the front. Bathroom was a bit small and closed in, but overall a very good experience!

AustraliaThe property was great but the parking garage underneath was horrendous, tiny parking spots and hit and Miss if you were lucky enough to get a park.

New ZealandStayed 5 nights. Last 3 nights very lucky to have a corner room with panoramic views. Reception and cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly. Spacious well appointed rooms. Comfortable bed. Wifi fast. Well priced for Melbourne. Tram stops a couple of minutes walk. But the location more of a sterile commercial strip on the main transport links to St Kilda.

AustraliaOnly a couple of things. 1) someone had a party in their room across the hall from us and we’re blasting rap music late on a Sunday night. We called reception and the manager came to speak to them - they essentially told him to get lost refused to open the door and carried on and he just kind of left? We were very confused as to why he would tolerate that kind of behaviour however they did turn the music down enough so we couldn’t hear it after that. 2nd was we got room service and the portions for the desserts we ordered was a little small for the price and a little cold when it arrived but we were on the 7th floor so I kind of understood.
We loved how comfy the beds were. The staff were also really nice to us during our stay. The views of Melbourne from the room were excellent and the room was a great size! Honestly a great hotel

AustraliaThe only thing we were disappointed about was the lack of a microwave in the room to heat up our popcorn we bought :( Other than this, everything else was lovely.
Located in a beautiful and very green part of Melbourne, my Mum and I both really enjoyed our one night stay. Upon check-in, we realised that we had been given a free upgrade to a family suite rather than the room I had booked which was a lovely surprise and very comfortable. The room was nice and clean, spacious and very comfortable.

New ZealandNoise from the adjoining room. I wish the doors were more soundproof as we weren't travelling together so it was quite off-putting. The shower could do with a deep clean and some bleach. There was some mould and the grout was discoloured. Also some small drawers for clothing would be really useful for longer stays, but not a deal breaker. Definitely stay here again, regardless of the above.
The location was great for needing to get to the Alfred Hospital. Reasonably clean and easy to get to. The staff were super friendly and efficient staff.
