Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe had requested a cot but never heard back and there was no cot in the room. Also be warned there are stairs so difficult with baby/pram. Request ground floor if you have small kids!
A very cute boutique hotel, good location and plenty of free parking available. Comfy beds and some facilities (such as communal microwave and laundry) available.

New ZealandBeautiful & Quaint. Short walking distance to Randwick Mall, shops, hotels. Easy to get buses and use the light rail in that area. Really lovely obliging receptionist, which to me, makes all the difference.

AustraliaSt Marks is a gorgeous building in a great location. It's on a residential street just off the main road of Randwick. It's a 15 min walk to the nightlife hub which includes the Ritz cinema and a great variety of restaurants and bars. The Building and grounds are kept beautifully. Our queen deluxe room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette even had some big bowls and cutlery which came in handy when we got pho delivered for dinner that didn't come with any eating utensils. The bed was really comfy and had clean, crisp linen and the bathroom was clean and had really nice complimentary toiletries (Mr Smith ❤️). The only slight complaint I have is that the bathroom could do with more ventilation but otherwise it was perfect for our needs. I would definitely consider staying again in the future. Free on street parking was a plus too!

SingaporeThe room I rented was on the 2nd floor. It is small and squeezy. The bathroom is also very small and not enough space to put both of my partners things. Also bcos it's on the 2nd floor, making it extremely hard to pull my heavy luggages up and down too.
The location of St Marks is good as it's just 3-min walk to the nearest bus stop to Coogee Beach (10-min bus travel time), and from the opposite of bus stop -25 min to Central Station. Parking along side of road is convenient without charges. The room is clean and well kept. The hot shower Is good after the whole day out.

United KingdomThe room we had was small and very warm but otherwise comfortable on arrival. Our air conditioning worked but didn’t cool the room enough to make it comfortable and a ceiling fan did little to help. The room was serviced minimally just once during our 4 night stay - a change of towels, no top up of shower gel, bin left full, bed not made. Toiletries available from a closet which is only for a short time during each day - didn’t suit us as we were out early and back after 5 pm.
Location is good, we’ll out of the city but good public transport links.

United KingdomIt was a tad worn, skirting boards had chipped paint, fan rattled alot so we turned it off which made the room warmer, they ran out of milk for 2 days due to delivery problems which I feel was not acceptable as they could have provided through over means....or at least informed us so we could have sourced our own.....I know it was a trivial thing but I really love a cup of coffee in the morning before I head out for the day.
The building was very lovely and the receptionists were kind and very helpful, washer and dryer facilities were 9 aud to use which really helped us on our travels

United KingdomNothing. Even better if: bed was large double but we presume this was our room type Light in bathroom could be switched on separately to extractor fan Room size slightly tight for a 5 night stay with 2 large suitcases but we would return. No lift if you book an upper floor room be prepared to haul luggage upstairs
Excellent location for local restaurants, Randwick shopping centre with supermarkets and delis and direct access into Sydney on L1 red light rail or various buses to Bondi etc. Quiet residential location; excellent breakfast cafes within walking distance and easy walk to Coogee beach. Perfect! Nice green frontage and small rear courtyard to sit. Some rooms have front veranda and seats. We used the laundry room with washer and separate drier. Housekeeping every other day. Room was clean. Room 304 was at rear in a quiet courtyard which suited us and had a large bathroom area. Air conditioning was quiet. Small table outside for sitting or eating. Complimentary mints in room and nuts and water at reception. Helpful reception staff, welcoming. WiFi strong. Small kitchenette on upper floor with coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster etc.

United KingdomWe were in an outside room near the courtyard and it felt small (the rooms in the main house might be bigger) There wasn’t much room for our large suitcases or anywhere for toiletries in the small (but lovely) en-suite. The window was small with bulky wooden blinds so not much natural light. It seemed expensive for the size compared to other places we have stayed in but maybe that’s because it’s Sydney.
Very attractive building in a nice area. 25 minute walk to Coogee beach and near a bus stop to get into the city. The room was stylish with a good shower and the bed was comfortable (but felt small).

AustraliaNo parking, quite easy to park outside but still a bit annoying if you have luggage. Tv wasn’t a smart tv - I know first world problems. And the door to the room had quite a big gap underneath so it felt like all the other residents could hear you speak.
Easy to find, looks the part! Very aesthetic if that’s what you’re going for! Woman at the desk very friendly. Made for a very comfortable stay, perfect for anyone looking a well priced place to stay on their way through Sydney!
