Cannot think of a thing to improve. We had had a couple of mediocre motel stays & we’re feeling ragged and to find the Sunray so relaxing, gave us the energy to continue. Our trip was not for a holiday but for family concerns.

Breakfast was delivered hot. Presentation was well above usual motel standard. Staff member delivering even carried trays into room & onto table.(we are elderly)

The distance from the main part of town. But the comfort and cleanliness made up for that.

Due to the cyclone roads we're closed to Brisbane. Sitting on the side of the road in torrential rain with my cat, I searched pet friendly accommodation. This place came up, said pets allowed - not pets upon application, pets allowed. So I booked, arrived drenched and tired, happy to have a safe place to stay. Next morning I got my face ripped off because I hadn't told them I had a pet. Got the impression she wasn't happy I used booking.com either after a derogatory remark. Tried to explain I didn't do it on purpose, but didn't get much sympathy because now she had to steam clean the carpets and wash the curtains. I paid an extra $50 and left. I would have thought under the circumstances - cyclone, most rainfall in 50yrs, main highway closed, torrid misty heavy rain, mentally exhausting and challenging - that there might be a bit more understanding. But not so. To the owner, sorry for inconveniencing you in the middle of a cyclone and floods. Perhaps remove the pets allowed and change it to "pets upon application" like most places do.

Car park was awkward, i had to end up helping someone park as they were struggling to fit. Cobwebs, dust and dirt around room. The fridge is extremely noisy at night. Car parks dont align with rooms so when someone has to pack their car to leave early it can be right outside your window and despite their attempts to limit noise the walls are too thin to not wake people. Pet friendly? Only two rooms i believe are pet friendly the others dont have this option. Ive stayed at approximately 8 motels travelling through Toowoomba and have not had a poor experience until this one. Easy fix for the car park is to prevent parking in non marked spots. Fridges need checking and replacing. Dust and cobwebs also easy. The lay out isnt a fixable thing but it is what it is and if the other 1 percenters were fixed it would be much more comfortable.

The booking I made online was incorrect when I arrived at the motel. They had another available, but it was much more than the price I wanted to pay.

The room I booked online was for a pet friendly room. When I arrived, the room I booked was not available. I left shortly after.

Toilet seat was broken/ loose. Road noise and airport noise was awful. We checked out early because of this. Property a long way from city.

The receptionist at the desk was very rude and wasn’t very welcoming at all. It’s very clear she either dose not want to be there or she’s not happy with her job. It was a huff and a puff just to get the milk for my room. Either way it dosent make for a great first impression of your hotel.

Lovely new renovated bathrooms and rooms and beds are also nice, quiet area but also very central and close to shops

Unfortunately, our dog found a dried turkey leg left under the bed by a previous guest. It smelt bad. The staff did offer to clean this up, but just a good spray with Glen 20 was enough.

Although a little out of town it was near the airport and we noticed a little noise from the airport. Our room was away from the main road so we were not disturbed by this noise. The bed was comfortable and we were here for the flower festival. We appreciate the fact that you accepted our dog and there was a designated area to take him to do his business.
