Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

All good. Bit if a hassle to use the fob to get in and out of the carpark. I didn't like the fact that there was potential to be a fine if rubbish was left in the apartment but understand why you are asked to remove it prior to departure.
Location and the improved room. Our initial one was not cleaned when we checked in due to a lack of communication and we were kindly upgraded to a better room. Helpful staff. Good parking -spacious car parks

Great location. Easy access to the beach and restaurants. Considering you are on the highway, it was very quiet inside. Very handy having a carpark. Spacious & clean with a well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

We needed a cot for our two year old and booked this in advance. The cot was provided but with no mattress - just the hard base. When we enquired at reception, the lady there could not have been less interested. As my wife said, she barely even looked up to look us in the eye - not even remotely friendly or helpful. So we just used the extra blankets in the apartment to make a mattress., but something for others requiring a cot to bear in mind. Our son was comfortable enough, so it was really just the attitude at reception that was the only negative aspect at all to our stay.
Great location. Very large and spacious apartment with everything we needed. Very close to the beach. Convenient parking. Restaurants and shops within a few hundred meters

The pool and spa area was closed for renovations (which we were given a last minute heads up about via email a day or so prior). We had a one bed apartment and there wasn't much of an outlook or view on the first floor.
We stayed here purely for the location and price. Swell is right in the heart of Burleigh and a short walk to James st and Burleigh hill. Apartment was a good size and had all the basics we needed for a weekend away.

Building noise across the road. Trucks all day and night. Road noise - unable to open the doors and windows because of the road and building noise.

There was not enough sugar, tea, coffee packets. I am limited in my physical movements, and my appointments were very early ending very late, taxing to and from a place isolated from buying amenities. I wasn’t aware of any of this at the time or I would have been prepared. Once at Resort a simple cup of tea/coffee/ sugar would have been so good. It was amazing to me that there was not provided enough sugar for one person for two nights. It was such a small thing but really was big to me. In the room, that is the one thing you expect to be provided for. There were 4 packets sugar, two coffees, two teas. That may be enough for others, but I use 2 packets per cup. There is a notice in the room that you must buy your own. It became a difficult task to achieve. This is so petty, but it sure was important for my beginning and ending my day - so it made a huge impression on me. I think it’s important for guests to know the showers are in a tub requiring lifting your leg high up. This is important to know for many who can’t. It is a narrow bathtub and as careful as I was it was dangerous to do so. The few surrounding places to walk to do not open before 9 or 10 a.m. which is too late if you have early appointments.
The mattress and bed covering was great. The air conditioner worked beautifully.

Dishwasher leaked considerably (we did advise front desk upon leaving). Door to balcony needs oiling. Couch not comfortable for two people
Dianne was wonderfully helpful. Rochelle not so much. The gym was excellent.

Staff were not there for checkin past 1pm on Saturdays. We where where waiting for our flight in reception and the amount of people that turned up to checkin in and see it was closed and they had to manually call someone was concerning. There were many unhappy people with that. Maybe something they can improve on.
Great location near the beach. Room was great and pub downstairs was nice to go to for a drink.

Soon arrival there was construction happening down at the pool, our room was located right next to it. We spoke with reception and they were very accomodating and had us moved and upgraded us. The staff were very helpful and polite and rooms were clean and had everything you needed.

Two hours after our departure, we received a call from reception informing us that we had broken the dryer, which we absolutely did not! Upon checking out, we left everything in the apartment as we had found it.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. Apartment very nice and comfortable.

Pool was under maintenance but staff did let us know prior and offered a discount which was lovely. It was also too cold to swim so didn't really affect us.
We stayed in room 1123 and loved the view. We had a 3 bedroom apt and it was fully equipped. We are are family of 6 and and had a extra kid as well. Location was prefect, just a walk to the beach, cafes etc. Tennis court was a bonus and we loved it and so did the teenagers. would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The beds were not good. The bed base in the master bedroom was broken and rather than fix it they have put metal bins under the bed to support and they are crushed. Pretty rubbish considering that then gave us stiff backs all week
